Chapter 2- The Secret is Revealed

After class ended Sapphire and I went to the cafeteria to get some food and we started talking. "So Scar, do you think your parents will let you go to the field trip after... what happened?" "Of course they won't but I have some plans to go there." "Well I would love to hear but Jack is alone there! This my opportunity!!!" "Go for your man girl!". Sapphire left and whispered in my ear: "Look back Scar!" Then she left. I was really confused but I looked back and it was really happening.

*thinking* ETHAN IS WALKING TOWARDS ME AND I THINK HE'S GOING TO SEAT HERE!!!!! THIS IS GREAT! Wait. What am I saying? This is not great. This is terrible!! What if I say something wrong. What if I faint. Do I have something in my face or teeth? Do I smell bad? What if, what if, what if...... Scarlett. Focus. Just be yourself and don't make that ugly smile you make when you are nervous. By the time I finished thinking Ethan was next to me and I was making my ugly smile. Way to go Scarlett, way to go.  "Hey Scar! Me mind if I seat?" "Whaaaat? No. No. No. Of course you can seat!" "Well, thanks. So Scar I just wanted to tell you that I'm really impressed of what you did earlier in class." "What I did in class?" "Um, you know... Confront Mackenzie and her minions." "Oooohhhhhhh. Thaaaaaaat. Meh, it was nothing. When it comes to my friends I will do anything even if it makes me look like an idiot, at least I conserve my friendship and that's all that matters." "You're a wonderful woman Scarlett. I really admire you." I literally just froze there staring at him. Does he really admire me and thinks I'm wonderful?!?!?! "Um, well t-thanks! It means a lot coming from you!" Then we paused just smiling at each other and then he changed the subject.

"So Scar, are you going to the field trip?" "Um, I still have to convince my parents because they are super over-protective." "Really?! My mom is over protective too! She thinks I'm too young to go alone somewhere." "Well, um, my case is a little different." "Oh! So why are your parents over protective?" *clears throat* "It started two years ago. My older sister was kidnapped and when the police found her body in the middle of nowhere she was dead. The cops told us it wasn't a suicide intent. She was murdered by someone. My parents are really afraid something like that happens to me. So it's really obvious that they won't let me go." "Oh my God, Scar! I didn't know that! I'm so sorry! Do you feel bad talking about her?" "No, not at all. I have to admit it makes me a little uncomfortable but it's okay, thanks for the concern."

Actually it really bothers me to talk about my sister. I really loved her. But I have to stay strong , I can't let the sadness defeat me. If I want to cry, I hold it back. Although I'm sad I have to enjoy myself I can't be depressed for the rest of my life. I have to move on. "Although I have some plans to go there, wanna hear them?" "Sure! Probably I can learn something!" Ethan and I spent whole lunch break talking. He thought my plans were really good and that I'm supper smart. I blushed every time he said that :). Everything was perfect. But two things were making me really nervous.

And no, it's not like you think. Ethan for some reason didn't make me nervous, the thing that was making me really nervous was that minion one and two were hidden watching every movement we made. They were probably getting information for Queen Bee to make my life impossible, I was trying to ignore them but it's really difficult to ignore two people that are basically stalking you. I didn't mention them because I didn't want to ruin this beautiful and magical moment. The other thing that really was bothering was that I saw a woman dressed in black taking pictures of me. I was like, what the heck is this woman doing? I think she was supposed to hide but she could be seen from far away. If her job is to be a spy for the government and has to spy me for whatever reason she's doing a terrible job. I think that even a baby could hide better than her. After staring at her for a while she noticed I was watching her and ran away. I tried to ignore that as well but lots of questions were swimming in my head like: what she wanted? Is she a spy or something? Why she was at my school? Why she was taking pictures? Who was she? At the end I just ignored it a continued to talk to Ethan.

Sir, we have a problem!
*on the phone* What happened Gabriella?
Um, I was taking pictures of her and she kind of noticed me.
*on the phone* WHAT?!?!? You stupid little brat! You let her see you?! How I'm supposed to get Scarlett now that she knows someone's following her?
Um, I don't know sir but I didn't let her see me I was just taking pictures from the window and she saw me. It wasn't my intention!
*on the phone* Ugh, come quickly to the place and we will discuss this. But be advised stupid brat, YOU ARE ON BIG TROUBLE!!
Okay sir, sir? *sigh* He hung up, I'm screwed. Hopefully he has mercy and don't take my head.
