Chapter I - 4 years later 

"Are you sure you want to go back?" Ian asked me.

"Yes, I think I want to be with my family I've been away for 4 years. And besides it's not their fault why I left" I said.

"Yeah you're right, you really don't want me to come with you?" he asked.

"No need you also have a life and work here you've already done your job helping me to move on".

"Okay, if that's what you want. Just don't hesitate to call if you need something. Okay, see you?" and he said.

"See you and thank you Ian, for everything"

After saying goodbye to Ian I proceed to the departure area. Yes, I would be going back to the Philippines. By the way I am Aubrey Arellano, 23 years of age and I am a pediatrician at U.S. but as I said earlier I am going back to Philippines to be with my family.

NAIA Airport (Arrival Area)

"Ang tagala naman ni Bree" Allison said.

"Mag antay ka lang" sabi naman ni Mommy.

"Ayun na ata si Ate" sabi naman ni Ethan my younger brother.

"Saan?" tanong ko.

"Pa, Ma Ate and my little baby brother" tapos niyakap ko sila. "I miss you guys"

"Sus, pa English-english ka na ngayon, galling ka lang States. Saan na pasalubong ko?" tanong ni Ate, naku talag di na sya nagbago pero love ko pa rin yan.

"Excited? Can we go home first? You know JETLAG!?" sabi ko.

"Arte, sige na nga lika na" sabi naman ni Ate.

Bahay

Nang maka-uwi na kami pinamigay ko muna yung mga pasalubong ko tapos kumain na kami at syempre natulog na ako.

Pagkagising ko I check my Facebook account if I have some notifications and boom I have tons, because I haven't open this since I went to states, some are from the boy I hate explaining his side and some are from my family who are only concern of how am I feeling, but one thing caught my attention: REUNION of our High School Batch so I open it, it will be this coming Friday, at Macky's Private Resort by the way. Macky's been my bestfriend since we were in kindergarten I haven't talked to her after I broke up with...... oh never mind. So I messaged her since she's online. Also, to tell her that would like to go to the reunion.

Me- Hey, Mack I would like to go to the reunion.

Macky- Oh, so nagbalik ka na pala. Good thing na sasama ka.

Me- Yes, I just got home yesterday. I miss you and I'm sorry I haven't been in touch.

Macky- No its okay I know you want to move on, and you can't if we would be around you.

Me- Thanks for understanding. I'm lucky to have you. So are you free tomorrow?

Macky- I'm also lucky to have you, yeah I'm free tomorrow. So let's meet?

After my conversation with Macky I spent my day treating my family and of course buying clothes for myself. When we got home I receive a text from Macky telling me the place and time we would meet for tomorrow. "We're going to Shang at 12 noon".

Before I go to sleep I talked to Ian and tell him what happen to me these past few days.

Ian- Bree, I have good news for you.

Me- What?

Ian- I have a conference tomorrow at the Philippines and I also asked for a 2 weeks leave and my boss approves it.

Me- Really, so you would be here tomorrow?

Ian- As a matter of fact, I'm in front of your house.

Me- Stop joking around because I'm gonna punch you.

Ian- Look out your window to see if I'm telling the truth.

So I look out my window to see. And I am surprised to see him leaning at his car while holding his phone. So I run down stairs as fast as I can. When I am outside I run to him and hug him tight. 

Me- You idiot, why didn't you tell I should have fetch you. I miss you

Ian- Because I want to surprise you. I also miss you.

Me- You know I hate surprises.

Ian- But I think you like it now.

Me- Okay I kinda like it, but I didn't expect you to come here early.

Ian- So aren't you letting me in?

We go inside and talk until our mouths are tired of talking. I offer Ian to stay for the night but he insisted and said that he already booked a hotel near our village and said that he would stay there for now.
