"Maa, what are these pictures you are looking at?" A curious Arnav, who had just come back from his school, had come to sit beside his mother who was seated flipping through some photographs in her hand.

"We're looking for a bride for your brother." Amrita, his mother, clarified as she pushed her hand down a little so that those pictures come into the younger's one's gaze.

"Bride? wo kya hota hain?" The 10-year old's charming brown eyes held questions for his mother. (What is that?)

"Bride means someone who will marry you and come to stay with your forever. Like how I, your maa, had been your papa's bride. Just like that we're finding a girl who will be your Shyam Bhaiyya's bride."

"Oh, so she'll come to live with us, right? She'll be same as Bhaiyya?"

"Yes, Chotte, she will. Well same as Bhaiyya? Why don't you find out the same when she comes here?"

"Cool!" Arnav grinned at his mother. "Maa, even I want to see Shyam Bhaiyya's bride."

"Hold your horses, Chotte," Amrita chuckled at her eager son, "we'll see the pictures now. Then when your Papa and Shyam comes home, we must take their input, then we will see who your Bhaiyya likes and then select the girl, okay?"

"Okay!" Arnav's glee had no bounds as he sat looking picture after picture of girls who might come to his home as his brother's bride and his friend. "They are all so big, Maa." He informed his mother with wide eyes.

"Elder is the word, Chotte," Amrita corrected her son with a smile, "of course they are. They have to be about your Bhaiyya's age."

"Oh," Arnav sounded disappointed. As much as he loved the prospect of a new member coming home, it dimmed with the information of them being elder to him. Though he loves his brother to bits, but the 10-year age gap between them does sometimes brings in differences between the siblings. Age might be just a number, but it's definitely a factor of difference between Arnav and Shyam. "then do one thing, Maa, you also find me a bride. She'll be my friend too and my age." Arnav felt proud of his suggestion to his mother leaving Amrita in peals of laughter.

"We have so much time before we find a bride for you, Chotte. For now, select one for your brother." Amrita compelled him to get busy with the pictures in her hand, which he did with a conspicuous pout.

Amrita looked at her younger, dear, son with a smile on her lips and love that cannot be mistaken in her eyes as he flipped the pictures. Dropping an abrupt kiss on his forehead, she bantered with her son over the girls they liked.

Arnav enjoyed the selection a little too much, oblivious to the changes that'll come in his life with this addition, a relation that'll become a reason for his ire earlier but also the solace he'd crave for later.

This is a "Three-Shot".

As from the Description that you guys read, you might have found out that the story's main characters are Arnav and Anjali. I would like to inform that Khushi will be a part of it too, but has very less part to play and would mostly come in the last shot obviously as Arnav's love interest and then life partner. Like I said, this is a story that is nothing like you imagine...

So hang on...! :-)
