This long ass shift is so tiring. I mean I love my job but damn. The rooms are filling up tonight, I can't wait to get off. Liyah worked half a shift today, so she's gone. She went to get my baby for me and he's staying the night with her.
"Kim go check the vitals in room 202", one of the other nurses asked me.
"Hi, my name is Kim and I'm just here to check your vitals, Mr. John." I told the man.
"Hey and ok, how's everything looking?" He asked. I checked everything out and it was looking good.
"Everything is looking good, you have a great recovery ahead of you." I told him.
"Thank you", he said smiling.
"You welcome, have a nice day." I finally said walking out. After that I went and hid in the bathroom until I got off. It was only 10 minutes left. When I came back I told my girl Amber at the reception desk bye and grabbed my stuff and left. I was beyond tired and was ready to just shower and go to bed. I pulled at the apartment complex, grabbed my stuff, and headed toward the elevator. Once I made it to my room I stripped and took a hot shower. When I was done I put on lotion then threw on a big t shirt and went to bed.
The next morning I woke up missing my baby. I called Liyah and we decided to meet up at IHOP. Since it's hot today I decided to put on a black midi dress and my brown gladiator shoes. I decided to put my hair in 2 french braids and put some lip gloss on my lips and I was ready to go. As soon as I pulled up, I looked over and saw Liyah. We got out and walked in together.
"Hi, how many are there?", the hostess asked.
"2 adults and the baby, do you have booth?", I asked thinking about my baby.
"Yes ma'am, follow me this way", she told us.
When we sat down she gave us the menu, I already knew what I wanted.
"Girl I should have left work when you left." I told her thinking about last night.
"I know as I was leaving I saw all them people in the waiting room." She said laughing.
"My last 10 minutes I had to hide." I told her.
"Good afternoon ladies, are you ready to order?", the waitress asked.
"I would like to have water, stack of pancakes, bacon, and hash browns." I said telling her what I wanted.
"I want an orange juice with ham and cheese omelette and French toast please." Liyah replied.
"Ok thank you", I said handing her the menus.
"I missed my baby," I said kissing Jayden all over his face.
"It wasn't even a day", Liyah said rolling her eyes.
"Leave me alone I love my baby", I said.
"I know you do, I love him too. That's my baby too. I'm the father." Liyah said. I burst out laughing. She is the goofiest person ever.
"Yes thank you baby daddy." I replied still laughing. I don't know what I would do without her. She always keep me in good spirits. Finally our food came and we ate. Jayden was being fat so I gave him some of my food. After that we decided to go to the mall. Y'all don't understand I love to shop. When we got there I decided to go to Foot Locker I needed some more shoes. I decided to get some all red Pumas and my baby some too. After that we went to pink, I needed some more panties and bras.
"Let's get some cookies", Liyah said.
"Ok, I want some m&m cookies", I replied. When we got to the cookie stand, we got our cookies and sat on a bench next to some lady.
"Your baby is so cute." The women said to me.
"Thank you, he so fat too," I told her laughing. While she was talking to us some guy walked up.
"K, leave her alone", he said talking to me.
"I'm not bothering her boy bye, I was telling her how cute her baby was." She said.
"Aw you must be Jay niece, I'm Sean. I saw lil man when I was at his house." He said introducing himself. I already knew he must work for my unc.
"Nice to meet you I'm Kim and this my girl Liyah." I told him.
"I'm his little sister Kierra, but you can call me K", she said.
"Well it was nice to meet yall", I told them they was real cool.
"It was nice to meet you to, hers my number maybe we can kick it or something. I just moved here and my brother showing me around." K said handing me her number.
"Since we giving out numbers, Liyah you wanna take mines?" Sean said smirking.
"Why should I give it to you?" She said smiling at him.
"Because you can have a chance to get a nigga like me", he said cheesing. I can tell this nigga goofy. Liyah start laughing, but they end up exchanging numbers. After that we said our goodbyes and finished our shopping. Once we got done me and Liyah went our separate ways and went home. When I got home, I put all our stuff away and went in the living room and played with my baby. I do everything for him. I want him to have anything he want, I'm gone have the best for him. Especially since I'm doing this on my own. I wouldn't take nothing back or trade him for the world. While I was playing with him I got a text from an unknown number. When I looked it was just Kierra.
