Almost every rant book ever invented starts with this.
Here's the thing you guys. THIS. NEVER. HAPPENS. IN REAL LIFE.
Ever.
So, lets show how this goes. This is just something I slapped together, it isn't taken out of any books.
I opened my locker, hearing footsteps behind me. Suddenly, a punch came to my back, making me yell out in pain. I whirled around, seeing Rick (Rick, pfft) Myers, my bully. He was the worst. He was always picking on me, and only me. "What do you want?" I barked.
He shrugged, punching me in the stomach. I doubled over in pain but he pulled my chin up with his hands, kissing my lips gently.
"You want to get married?"
"YES RICK YES!"
Yep, that's pretty much what happens. I mean, I may have exaggerated a teeny bit, but, I mean, I know, I know that I have written one of the bully-turn-boyfriend stories, but that was different. The girl didn't go out with him. I mean, if you were beaten up every single day for your whole life and he suddenly asked you out...
Do you HONESTLY think you'd say yes?
I wouldn't. I'd probably slug him for messing with me by asking me out.
Even if he was serious.
But, in all seriousness, I have never seen anyone ever date the person who teased on them their whole life and end up being SO inlove that in the second book she's pregnant. Then, as if out of nowhere, Rick's character COMPLETELY changes and he is the best father ever and in the third book she's pregnant again.
You know, just because!
They end up having fifteen babies and loving each other forever, amIright?
No, I'm not.
Please please please don't write a story like this. I mean, sure, there are some REALLY good bully-turn-boyfriend books, but only because nothing happens right away. If you've ever read it, you know which book I'm talking about, but I ain't sayin' no names.
So, the guy bullies her, but then, they get in a play, and they have to kiss in the play. Eventually, as the story evens out, they end up realizing that they are supposed to be together and stuffs.
The book is better than my explanation I swear.
Anyway, just remember that if you are writing a bully-turn-boyfriend story, don't make them fall in love right away, make it a long time thing, and, heck, maybe even make her realize her love in the ending! Just don't go all out in the WAAAYY beginning of the story. This is only my opinion and I hope nobody is insulted with this.
I do still love you though!
