Hogwarts Letters

The Weasley home was always busy especially before the start of the new school year at Hogwarts. This year they had a few extra guests. Including Hermione Granger, Harry Potter, and Luna Lovegood. They were all going back to Hogwarts for their seventh year and could not wait to finish.

Morning came one week before the first day of school and an owl flew in with the letters in hand. Everyone opened them happily as Fred and George snickered in the background behind Hermione; with a knowing look on their faces. Hermione's mouth fell open as she looked down at her letter there was another attached piece of parchment. From Albus himself commending her on becoming head girl. Fred and George both laughed.

"All right Ron you owe us ten galleons you lost". Hermione turned confused and said

"Everyone I'm head girl!".

Ron sighed and fished out some of his money and muttered "bloody rubbish". Hermione only wondered who was head boy.

While the Weasley home rejoiced at Hermione becoming head girl the home of the Malfoy family had some rejoicing to do as well. Since Dumbledore explained that the Malfoy's helped save the wizarding world and explained how he faked his death along with Severus things seemed to have returned to normal. Draco especially was enjoying the lack of stress he had to deal with now that Voldemort was gone. He sat at one of the families many dinner parties eating when a Hogwarts owl flew in and dropped his letter in his lap. He opened it up as the owl flew away and a devilish smirked appeared on his face.

"I knew it. I am head boy and no doubt Granger is head girl" he looked around at everyone's reactions. A mixture of disgust and pride could be seen and he smiled. He knew it would be a very fun year at Hogwarts.

Both families that night celebrated. The Weasley family cracked open some fire whiskey for the adults and had a fun party while the twins made havoc throughout the house. Fireworks exploding everywhere. The Malfoy family continued their dinner party. Then bought some nice gifts for Draco went out to eat and lastly planned a large party the day before the start of school for him. Both the head boy and girl could not have had a better week before their start of school.
