Hermione was carried all the way to the hospital wing by Draco. Who explained that Hermione said Ron had assault her and that a rape may have occurred or a sexual assault. As soon as he arrived he was suspect number one due to Hermione being unconscious. Madame Pomfrey called in Dumbledore.

Dumbledore then called in members of the ministry to arrest Ronald Weasley and Draco just in case. Draco went quietly while Ron struggled to get away.

When Ron was dragged into the hospital wing the look on Draco's face let him know if he did not get a dementor's kiss he would get something far worse courtesy of the Malfoy family. Hermione had a rape kit done while she slept. Her wound were swabbed along with her mouth, vagina, and other areas. Then both Draco and Ron were swabbed for DNA testing. Sometimes they found things that the muggles had invented turned out to be very useful.

When Hermione came to Dumbledore asked who she wanted to press charges against and Ron was the first answer. She did not know how her friends would react she was just glad it was still dead of night. A million questions went through her head now. How would the Wesaley family treat her. Would Harry side with her? The press she knew would make a killing off it especially if Rita Skeeter got involved. She shut her eyes and they released Draco when she opened them he was already panting by her side. Tears ran down his face.

"Hermione I just want you to know that I care about you. You are my friend and not just because of Dumbledore either. I have always admired you, but was forced to treat you so poorly. I promise that he will pay. I am so sorry I could not be there for you. I am sorry that I did not come to your rescue" he looked in her eyes a look of pure guilt on his face as the ministry watched in awe "to me you are not just a mudblood, muggle born, or a girl. You are my friend and you are a wonderful person". By now Draco was gasping for air from his long speech he had just made in less then a minute. Hermione started to tear up.

" Oh Draco I know you are my friend and thank you so much. I am just scared at what will happen now". Ron sat his head down in between several ministry official. His face started to go red.

" You stupid bitch you deserved it. You said you loved me that you cared then said you thought of me as family. You filthy whore". He spat in her direction and Draco gave him one very dark glare. Dumbledore then waved his hand and told the ministry to take him away. Hermione now in a fresh set of tears. Draco took both her hands in his.

"Hermione listen to me it is not your fault he is crazy and if you need anything I will help you. I will do whatever it takes. If it is money you need you have it. A place to stay you got it. Companionship I am here. You name it Hermione and I will kill anyone who hurts you like this again. If they let him lose he is dead". Hermione nodded slowly as Draco held her. Their relationship just now beginning to Budd. Dumbledore watching from the side both saddened by his students pained and touched by the hearts he got to watch connect. He remembered a time when Mr. Weasley was in the hospital bed he announced young love, but for them he would say true love. He left the room gave specific directions to poppy not to separate them.

Hermione drifted off to sleep and woke up to Draco next to her. This very day to be the day they head to court.
