Daenerys had prepared everything. Viserys left his throne to his hand, Lord Eddard Stark, insisting to go with her sister. The journey only lasted two weeks, and it's been two weeks that Daenerys and Loki avoided each other. As the princess leaned against the carriage's wall, Doreha suddendly stood straight.

-Princess, I think we're here!

Daenerys hadn't questionned her maid about Loki again. Perhaps too scared to hear what she had to say. And Doreha didn't bring it up either. So the princess looked out the window to see a castle, mostly golden and shinier than the brightest diamond on Westeros. Surrounded by an enormous town filled with life and happiness. As they followed the main road, Daenerys couldn't help but feel nostalgic. Men and women were walking, trading and laughing in the crowded streets, even with their simple life, they seemed happy. In King's Landing, the criminality was at it's highest and people were living in misery. And the princess had no power to change that.

Daenerys realised she wanted to be part of this world, not having to wear nice dresses for fancy occasions,  not having to marry what seemed to be a... a monster in order to please her brother. So without waiting another minute, she jumped out of the carriage.

-My Lady what are you doing? yelled her servant.

-Come Doreha!

The maid got out too, running toward her princess, laughing and jumping between the colorfully dressed people in the street. As she was about to run toward the castle, Daenerys heard Thor's voice roar behind her.

-Your Grace! You should go back to your carriage!

The princess turned around to see the tall lord, very high on his white horse with the sun making his golden locks shine even more. But a few seconds later, a much darker figure appeared. Loki, on his thin, black horse gave his brother an elbow in the ribs, before facing his fiancée.

-Let them do as they please. he said without any conviction.

Thor shook his head.

-You know the king won't be pleased to know his sister was alone in-

-She won't be alone. Go, my Lady.

Daenerys didn't know why Loki took her side and she wasn't about to wait and ask. She turned on her heels, taking Doreha's hand and resumed her race in the spicy streets when she heard hooves clacking against the paved streets. She turned around, again, to see her raven haired lord, trotting behind them.

-May I ask what my lord is doing?

Loki stopped his horse, a playful smile on his face.

-I almost forgot how your voice sounded like, princess.

-Almost. Daenerys said in a challenging tone.

Loki laughed at that, looking down at his horse's saddle. It was a small laugh but Daenerys heard it anyway, despite how noisy people were. She just heard just the slightest of laughs and it was the sincerest thing she's ever heard. And she wanted to hear again, and she knew how to. She grabbed her servant's hand and started running again, a smile crawling  it's way up to her lips when she heard the hooves trotting behind her again.

At this moment, she forgot about all the rumors she heard these past few weeks and even that Loki was about to marry her. For now, he was just the closest thing to a friend and she wanted to laugh with her friend. Yes, the two girls might have joslted a few people on their way but nobody exactly complained.

But the princess suddenly stopped when she hit golden steps. When she looked up, a castle, bigger than Winterfell but smaller than the Red Keep stood before her. She took a few steps back to get a better look at the edifice but a tall man in a red and golden armor approched her. She must have looked really disheveled because the guard firmly gripped her arm as another one took care of Doreha.

-Listen whore, unless you've got an audience with the intendant or whatever, you have to leave those steps!

Daenerys shook her head, struggling against the man.

-Why would I want to se-

-Sir Nygård! It's my fiancée you're mistreating! And her friend. Loki yelled as he got down of his horse.

The knights let go of the two women and mumbled some apologies. Loki quickly got closer to Daenerys, wrapping an arm around her small shoulders, making the princess freeze.

-She's not just my fiancé you lazy sod, she's your princess, Daenerys of house Targaryen, sister of our king Viserys.

The two guards immediately bowed before the silver haired woman and stumbled on their words as they tried to find a good apology.

-It's fine, really. Daenerys uncomfortably said.

She wasn't used to be protected that way. physically and morally. But Loki dropped his hand to his side and entered the castle, leading the way to the women.

-Grunhild! yelled Loki, his voice echoing through the hall.

A young, red haired woman with a light blue dress loosely tied around her waist appeard.

-My lord?

-This is Daenerys Targaryen and her servant, I'd like you to show them their respective chambers.

-I will. Do you require anything more?

-No it's fine.

And with that, he disappeared.

The red haired girl turned toward Daenerys, keeping her head down.

-If her majesty would follow me.

She didn't even wait for an answer before starting to climb stoned stairs. The princess followed her to a small hallway, and let Grunhild guide her. The girl opened a wooden door before moving aside to let her pass.

Daenerys entered the room, shocked by the size and the look of it. The floor was bright marble, the sun was reflecting against the opened windows and the soft breeze blew through the curtains. Everything she had dreamed of was in that room. A large bed with puffy cushions all over the bedspread reigned over the chamber, a wooden desk and almost an entire library stood in the lower part of the room. She walked to the balcony, where a small table lied, and let the warmth of the sunset heat her rosy cheeks, taking in the sparkling view of the ocean.

Even if her husband didn't seem to be a kind hearted man, this place was the most beautiful sight of her life. And she had no doubt she'd like it here.
