{ Dancing with a Monster is a crossover between Game of Thrones originally created by George RR Martin and the Thor's world. }
Asgard is one of the seven kingdoms of Westeros. Viserys Targaryen became king after his father and brother's passing. Vic...
Daenerys quickly got back to her room, taking her silk dress off to trade it for a thicker one, with blue lace and a golden belt. She let Doreha darken her eyes with coal and when dinner time came, the young princess joined the banquet, the room already filled with people when she got in. She took a seat, letting her brother at the end of the table, having Odin on her right, closer to the king and Thor on her left, just in front of his soon to be wife. When Viserys arrived and took place on his seat, Loki wasn't here.
-Let the feast begin! shouted the king.
As music grew louder and the guests laughed and ate, a shadow appeard in the doorway. A shadow that became clearer as it got closer. Loki, all dressed in a green tunic with leather pants and a long jacket. He sat swiflty next to his mother and right across Daenerys. He threw a quick glance at her before Frigga tilted her head toward him.
-You're late, where were you? She didn't even bother to whisper.
-Do you care mother? he aked an eyebrow raised.
-We are guests here, and you are behing rude. she said harshly this time.
Loki rolled his before looking over at Daenerys with an amused smile. The princess couldn't help but smile back at him. But even if he had been nothing but nice to her, she needed to be on the lookout. When people started rumors, unfortunally, a part of it was true. But the woman snaped out of her thoughts, overhearing the conversation between Odin and her brother.
-So the wedding will happen in Asgard, if I am not mistaken?
-Out of the question! My sister's a princess not just a peasant! The wedding will happen in Baelor's sanctuary. almost shouted Viserys.
Daenerys couldn't stand this. At any moment her brother could snap and ruin her chance to get married. Because that was the only thing that motivated Daenerys. If she got married, she would leave King's Landing and never look back.
-Would you do me the honour of dancing with me?
Daenerys looked up to see her betrothed, standing in front of her and already offering her his hand. She wasn't gonna lie to herself, she was tired and the only thing she wanted to do was retreat in her room. But without really knowing why, she took Loki's hand and got up, letting him lead her through the crowd. He held onto her hand and put his left one on her waist. Feeling her entire body tense, she tried to follow the music, tried to remember all the classes she had when she was a little girl on how to dance when there's so much people around you, when suddenly she felt herself being spun around to come back into Loki's arms.
-You needed to relax. He simply said, not looking at her.
-That explains the agressive 'spin around'? She asked.
He finally looked down at her, his eyes impenetrable.
-Is there something wrong? She asked again.
As he kept on moving between the other couples, helding her tight in his arms, a smile appeared on his lips.
-It's the first time I hear your voice. He simply answers.
-Is that a good or a bad thing?
In response, he just spun her around again as the music grew faster. A small laugh escaped her lips as she lost her balance and crashed against Loki's chest. This only sound encouraging the lord, he made her dance and spin through the crowd, making her feel like she was flying. Letting herself enjoy the moment, Daenerys completely forgot about her dance classes and allowed her feet -and her partner- lead her through the dance. But as she turned around to face Loki again, a strange expression flashed through his features. An expression that stopped Daenerys right in her tracks. In his pale eyes were something that looked like sadness, but his mouth was twisted in a mischievous smirk.
The silver haired woman let go of her fiancé's hand and didn't wait a minute longer to run to the balcony, where she leaned herself against the cold stone. But when she thought she was finally alone, her servant appeard from the shadows of the night.
-My Lady. I'm sorry to bother you, but I managed to talk to the other maids and...
-Is this about my husband?
Doreha just nodded, and Daenerys urged her to go on.
-Well, I gathered a few informations. Most of the girls said that there were rumors about the fact that Lord Loki has a sickness, that it made him vile and cruel. They said that her mother forces him to act kindely and politely but he waits for the sunset to...
Daenerys turned around, giving all her attention to her maid.
-To... what?
-It's just rumors my Lady, I don't want to scare you...
-Tell me! yelled Daenerys.
-Hey, little sister, what is happening?
Viserys arrived on the balcony, followed by Odin and his wife. Daenerys shook her head, quickly regaining her composure before dismissing her maid, who bowed before disappearing in the castle. The princess needed to process everything. Was all that true? It could have been, that would explain Loki's coldness and his mother desprately trying to get him to act like a normal man. Like being on time at a dinner.
-Nothing.
Her brother took a step toward her, being so close that she could feel his breath on her hair. He gently grabbed her right arm, discretely tightening his grip before leaning until his lips were against her ear.
-You can't lie to me little sister. he whispered.
Daenerys tried not to shiver, but her body couldn't repress the digust it felt toward her brother. She felt her stomach twist when he took a step back, the sweetest smile plastered on his face.
