The whole school knows me and Lanie are dating, guess I'm not closeted anymore. She came over today, my dad thinks we're just friends so we have to hide it. He'd probably beat me harder if he found out. She asked me about a picture of my mom and where she is. I told her and I got sad. She noticed and kissed my head and called me beautiful.... No one has ever said that before. She must've been lying.. I'm not beautiful, I'm bruised and scarred... I told her that.. She asked why Im scarred and bruised and I didn't answer... I didn't want her to know. We watched tv then she left. Yet I still feel like this is wrong..
