chapter nine

Months passed and Riker and I maintained a relationship of being more than friends without any labels. The weather was turning warmer and things were starting to change.

I was walking over to the lynch's house to hang out with rydel. She wanted me to try on some clothes she had made so she could alter them. I walked up to the familiar white brick house that i fell in love with the first day i met Riker and knocked on the door.

"Hey Danes" rocky smiled, pulling me in the house with a hug.

"Hiya rocky" i laughed, "how's Alex?"

"She’s fine, being a bit of a bitch though"

"She’s pregnant rocky, she's allowed to be hormonal at times"

"Yeh, "at times" but not all the time and not when I’m trying to sleep"

I stared at him in disbelief, "you are joking right rocky?"

"What?"

I shook my head, "you got your girlfriend pregnant. So it's your fault she's hormonal"

He groaned and i shook my head again.

"But she's only four month pregnant, it's just gonna get worse isn't it?"

"Yes, now go look after her"

"Fine" he laughed, i followed him into the lounge where Alex was sitting. I felt proud of him and Alex. they were only both only fifteen but they had really matured after learning they were going to be parents, especially after only being together for a month before Alex got pregnant.

"Dana" Alex squealed, trying to get up from all the blankets she was wrapped in.

"Hey preggo" i smirked, leaning over and giving her a hug. "How’s the bean?"

"Jumpy and annoying" she frowned looking at her stomach as i sat next to her.

I put my hand on her stomach, "hey bean you gotta be nice to your mummy"

"And daddy" rocky butted in

"And daddy" i laughed.

"Something tells me she isn't going to listen to you, but thank you for trying to tame their behaviour" Alex laughed

"Dana i thought i heard you down here" rydel said running down the stairs and into the room we were sat in

"i was just gonna come up to your room” I lied; i was having too much fun talking about the baby with Alex

"Well come on then" she grabbed my hand and pulled me up off the sofa and out of the room. I mouthed "help me" to Alex who gave a bit of a giggle.

I and rydel had become quite close since we both moved here. When i had Riker trouble she was there for me and when she got her heart broken by Ben, i was there for her. I followed her up the stairs into her bedroom where Riker was sat on her bed playing guitar hero. I creaped up behind him and put my hands over his eyes.

"This better be Dana"

I put on a deep voice "and if it's not?"

He unwrapped my hands and pulled me into his lap, kissing my cheek.

"Hey you" i laughed

"Riker get out" rydel snapped

"Why?"

"Because you're distracting her when i need her help"

"I’ll be quiet, i promise"

"You better" she glared at him causing me to laugh.
