"It's unavoidable."
                              "But I've got no choice."
"And I have to. It's not for me even though I have no one else left."
                              "So...here goes."
Gazing blankly at the streets, sitting on a stable building debris and doing absolutely nothing. That was what I've been like for several hours before realising my current situation, "Wait...what am I doing here?"
I had no idea. There wasn't a single reason, just emptiness. There was another problem, and this was way more problematic than being clueless about my surroundings.
                              "Who the fuck am I?"
I had no idea about that, too. What was I doing in what seemed to be a despondant town? Who was I in the first place and why didn't I remember? I wasn't blankly staring at the streets or sitting on a piece of rock or doing absolutely nothing. Instead, I was panicking behind the rock, questions coursing through my mind and there was no end in sight. I might even get crazy, but what did that matter? I knew nothing about myself, or why I was here, or even anything!
That, I was wrong. I knew one obvious thing. I had no memories whatsoever. Also, wasn't knowledge about knowing that you know nothing at all? I didn't seem rid of my vocabulary, which was good. I also have the relieving general fact that people with no memories are considered amnesiac, and can recover quick by somewhat going to nostalgic places. Ha ha...nostalgia was impossible by far.
                              "Completely hopeless," I sighed.
"What is it, Kagayuki? I thought you were the carefree type," growled someone. Huh? I looked up to see a huge man, and he looked down at me with a threatening smile. Okay, I have common sense with me, too, right? Common sense, what do you do if a giant was looking down at you holding a giant hammer and looks like he was going to massacre you beyond recognition?
Without a moment's notice, I was running for my life. And, oh, I was so running.
"Think you can get away?" roared the giant. That was pretty much how I felt. Heck, with my intense speed, even the giant's voice seemed so far away. Wrong. An immense amount of force hit me and hurled me into an empty building. Pain crashed throughout my body and I gasped, letting blood out of my mouth. I was hurting everywhere.
What surprised me wasn't the giant's strength, but the fast disappearance of the pain.
"Tch, I should've remembered about your regeneration abilities," spat the giant. Wait, regeneration abilities? I have the power to regenerate? Cool! I felt invincible, but realised it didn't help me escape so I began running again. Where was I even going to run anyway? What plan did I have? Getting away from the threat was one thing, but...how was I going to get away?
The giant was fast so I had to quickly think of something. I looked side to side, finding many alleyways. This was chance. There might be deadends, but I did not want to smash into a building again. That pain was enough for me. Alright, here I go.
I dashed into a random alleyway, hearing the giant closely pursuing behind me. Heck, he was even destroying the buildings because he was so big. I need to find more narrow ways to go, but there wasn't any.
What seemed like ten minutes of running in a confusing network of alleyways didn't amount to anything, but a nightmare. I skidded to a stop with a gaping mouth. A freaking dead end, really? While panicking like it was the end of the world, I planned to do the impossible. It wouldn't matter if it was impossible or not, this was a moment of life and death. I looked at the towering three brick walls, breath slowing and calmness increasing. I distanced from the right side wall, hands touching the left wall.
