Apollonia didn't come home that night, and Prince was worried. It was a very restless night for him. He kept tossing and turning, thinking about Apollonia, the girl he loves more than anything on this planet. "What if she's not coming back? What if this time I chased her away for good?" Prince glanced at his clock. It was 3:48 AM. "What could she be doing at this hour? Where could she be? She could be lost or drunk... or with some other guy... finding a new way to have 'fun.' And if she is... I have no one to blame but myself. Because I'm the asshole who chased her away. She just wanted to be with me and I yelled at her. Me and my horrible attitude. Why do I gotta be so goddamn stupid? Why can't I control my goddamn temper anymore? I love her... yet I hurt her so much."

Prince's mind was too clouded with thoughts to sleep. And he lay awake in bed hating himself for how he treated the woman he loves.

It was around 7 AM when half-awake Prince heard the door squeak open and tiptoed footsteps coming down the steps. He looked up and saw Apollonia. She looked exhausted and her makeup was all smeared. It broke Prince's heart. He jumped out of bed and ran over to her, embracing her in a warm hug. But she pulled away from his hug and turned her back to him, crossing her arms.

"I don't want to talk to you," said Apollonia on the verge of tears.

"Baby, I'm so sorry... I'm an asshole for the way I treated you."

"Yes you are!" snorted Apollonia.

"Come on, babe, get out of those uncomfortable clothes and get into bed with me. I'll warm you up."

"I don't want to sleep with you, you selfish bastard. I'd rather just sleep on the couch!"

Prince remained calm and said, "Hey cool it with the name calling. And if anyone should sleep on the couch, it should be me. After the way I treated you, I deserve it. You go take the warm bed."

Apollonia was silent, and she wiped some tears and makeup from her burning eyes. Prince smelled alcohol and cigarettes on Apollonia, and his sweet demeanor suddenly turned defensive.

"You were out drinking, weren't you?" he pressed. Apollonia silently nodded her head looking down at the floor. "Who were you with? We're you with another guy?" Prince questioned.

"No, Prince, I promise I wasn't!" whined Apollonia.

"You smell like cigarettes."

"Well of course I do, idiot! People smoke in the bar!"

"Were you with a guy who smokes?" As Prince asked this, he pictured the guy his ex girlfriend Jess ran off with... his piercings and tattoos and cheap cigarettes... and the thought made Prince angry.

Apollonia watched her boyfriend change from caring and concerned to very angry right in front of her... and she didn't even know what caused him to turn so quickly.

"Prince, I wasn't with anyone, I swear to you! I was at the bar alone."

"Oh yeah? A pretty little thing like you drinking alone at the bar? That image doesn't seem to last very long." Actually Prince felt a little sad when he pictured his beautiful girl drinking all alone. His angry eyes softened again.

"Prince, I drank alone, and then I left the bar and crashed at my bandmate's place. And then when I woke up she convinced me to go home and talk to you. So here I am."

Before Apollonia could say anything else, Prince pressed his lips against hers and sucked hard on her bottom lip. Apollonia tried to pull away from his kiss at first, but eventually she fell for his captivating charm and she parted her lips slightly, allowing his tongue to slide into her mouth. Prince didn't even care that she tasted like alcohol. He was just so happy she came home.
