Prince was nervous, but he knew it was the right thing. He had to tell her how he really feels. It's only right she knows the truth. She deserves the truth.
He drew in a deep breath, pushed open the door, and stepped inside. "Babe, I miss you and... and I need to be with you..."
Jess looked up from her drink and spun around on the barstool to face Prince. "What... did you just say?" she asked in shock.
"I miss you and I need to be with you," he repeated, taking another step closer to her.
She stood up and said, "No, Prince, you're with Apollonia and you two are meant to be. Go be with her, you miss her, not me!" Her voice was soft and sincere. Prince knew what she was saying was right, but he didn't want to listen.
"No, Jezebel, I'm meant to be with you."
"No, Prince. You're meant to be with Apollonia. You love her and she means everything to you. I'm no good for you. I left you heartbroken, remember? See, I knew it was a bad idea to talk to you again. You're confused now. Things were perfectly fine and I had to go and fuck everything up by."
Prince lifted Jess's chin with his finger, causing her to look directly into his eyes. "No, things were not perfectly fine," he said in his deep voice. His hazel eyes were sincere.
Jess was silent. She knew there was no convincing Prince otherwise. She was lost in his eyes... she missed looking into his eyes. She knew how to read him best through his eyes, and not many people can read his feelings. Prince can come off as emotionless to other people, but never to Jess. Jess can always tell how he's feeling. That's one of the things he loves and hates about her... he can never hide anything from her.
Jess broke the silence, still staring deeply into Prince's eyes. "Prince, you need to go find your girl and tell her you love her."
"But I already found her. I'm looking at her." Prince's lips curled up into a smile.
Jess didn't even know how to respond to Prince. He was so stubborn... but the way his eyes sparkled... she didn't want to feel things for him... but she couldn't help feeling this way. Not when he's being this persistent. His stubbornness kinda turns her on.
And before she even knew what was happening, Prince crashed his lips into hers. Jess was almost startled at first by his actions, but she became lost in Prince's lips, almost as if he put her in a trans. She parted her lips just enough to allow Prince's tongue to slide into and fill her mouth. Oh how she missed the taste of him... that unique, indescribably amazing taste.
Jess sucked hard on Prince's bottom lip, grazing it lightly with her teeth, causing him to moan softly into her mouth. He swirled his tongue around in her mouth. He never realized how much he missed this.
Jess broke the kiss and gazed into Prince's eyes. She opened her mouth as if to say something to him, but not a sound came out.
Prince chuckled to himself and said to Jess, "Hey, you wanna go for a ride with me on my bike?"
Jess simply nodded her head, and Prince led her outside to his bike. He climbed on, and Jess got on behind him, straddling him with her knees.
"You're taking me to the lake, aren't you," said Jess.
"You guessed it. You know, you were the first person I ever brought to the lake with me."
"I remember that day." Jess sighed and smiled to herself. That was a good day.
The roar of the motorcycle engine brought her back from her memories, and together they sped off down the road.
