~I Don't Miss You~

Note: So so so sorry for the late update! School and band have kept me pretty busy. This chapter ends on a cliffhanger, so be prepared. Love ya! 

~Harper's POV~

I wake up the next morning on the couch again. Luckily this time around I am not next to Mike. I get up and walk up the stairs and into Tony's room. He is asleep on the bed so I grab my bag and walk to the bathroom down the hall. I change quickly and walk down the steps. Last night Avery told me to wake me up early because she had a surprise for me. So I did as I was told. It is about 7 am. 

Eventually everyone is up and dressed about an hour later. 

"Is everybody ready?" Vic asks us all. We all nod and go to get in the car. It is super sunny and just a perfect day to go out and do stuff. 

We pull up to Fearless Records. I have only been here once back when me and Josh were together. 

"Wait, why are we here?" I ask, then remember... Josh works with Pierce The Veil. We are here to work on their album. Fuck.

"We are going to work on our album." Jaime says. I haven't heard him talk. He looks in the mirror and smiles at me. I send him a fake smile back. I don't want to be here. 

Everyone gets out of the car and we all walk into the building. As the guys go to get on the elevator, I pull Avery aside and tell them to go on up. 

"I don't want to see Josh." I say to her. She looks at me with concern. I don't think she thought about this issue.

"Oh shit, I am so sorry. We can go if you want. I didn't think about that I am so so so sorry Harper." She apologizes, but I shake my head. 

"No, I don't think that would be smart. We are already here. Maybe I should just face him." I say and press the button to the elevator. We get on the elevator and Avery pressed the button for floor 4.

The elevator door opens and me and Avery walk out. I follow close behind her, looking around at all the office doors. This place is quite big. She stops in front of a door and puts a key in it to unlock it. She pushes the door open and walks in. I take a deep breath and step inside. The office is all black and red. Figures. Typical of Josh. He loved the two colors together. Avery motions for me to take a seat on a leather sofa. I sit down and see the guys all sitting in the recording room. I watch through the glass. Josh is sitting in front of the room.

"Okay guys, one more time but I want it a little more slow." Josh says into the mic. He is wearing headphones so he probably didn't even hear me and Ave walk in. I watch them through the window play their song. Once they finish, Josh says they are going to take a break. Josh turns around in his chair and sees me. His eyes widen as he sees me.

"Harper..." He can't say much more after that. He just looks at me like I am some kind of disease.

"Hi, Josh." I say and smile. I honestly don't miss him that much. I was wanting to break up with him for a long time before I even did. 

"Could we maybe talk out in the hall?" He asks me. I nod and follow him out the door. I lean up against the wall and he looks me up and down.

"Is there something wrong?" I ask. He folds his arms and nods.

"Why are you here?" 

"Because I came back." I reply. He looks confused. 

"Oh..."

"Look, I missed Avery. And she is living with them pretty much. So I am staying with them for awhile until I can get back on my feet." I explain. He nods slowly, taking in all of the new information.
