Chapter eleven

O. M. G I'm so sorry for not updating at all I have just been putting it off for soooooooo long ugghhhhh. I really truly apologize!!
Alright here's chapter 11!!! Yayyyyy!!!

It was a pretty gloomy day outside while Lucy was walking around the calm part of the city.
Lucy POV

'Ugh... I have been walking around for hours now.....' I thought while taking a small break, sitting on a nearby bench.
'Even thought Natsu was just trying to protect me.... I wished he hadn't punched him... I could have still kept my job....!  Thinking about it won't help so I should just keep looking...' I got back up again, walking down the street.
Suddenly she spots Levy with one of Natsus friends?
I slowed down but soon quickened her pace to catch up with Levy.
When i got close enough I  called out "Levy!" Which Levy heard and stopped, turning around and waving.

"What's up Levy?" I asked

"Oh nothing just walking around with Gajeel, you remember him right?" Levy said motioning towards Gajeel.

"Yeah I remember, he's one of Natsu's friends!" I smiled at Gajeel
He looked at me and gave me a small smirk

"Yeah you're Natsu's girlfriend, right?" Gajeel gave a little chuckle "he hasn't shut up about you, talks about you non stop"
I blushed and looked down 'I wonder what he says....' I thought for a second

"Well I better get going, I'm trying to look for a new job" I say politely

"Oh! Gajeel and I just walked past a place that has a help wanted sign outside! You should try there!" Levy happily said pointing in the direction of the place.

"Thank you Levy your a life saver!" I say before telling them goodbye and going on my way to the store Levy pointed out to me.
When I got there it indeed had a help wanted sign which got me excited.
I went in and it was a rather large looking Cafe.
'Oh good at least I'll have experience' I thought looking around for and employee.
I was soon greeted by one, I asked to see the manger which she guided me to a room.
"Sir there's a lady here to see you..." She said opening the door.

"Yeah just let here in" a mans voice was heard.

The employee opened the door more for me to pass I thanked her and she shut the door.
I turn to see who the man was and to my shock and dismay.....
It was my ex..

He was plenty shocked to see me as well, we both just stood there in silence for a solid minute....
Finally he spoke up...
" well. Well it's been a while hasn't it Lucy?" He smirks sitting down at his desk and motioning me to sit as well, which I comply.

"It has..." I quietly say

"What brings you here?" He asks still having that stupid smirk on his face.

"Well... I saw your help wanted sign. So I was hoping I could schedule an interview with you-" before I could even finish he interrupts me.

"Your hired" he says

"Wha-what..??" I say in shock

"Look I'm short staffed and I'm desperate at this point so I'll need all the help I can get... Plus having a good looking lady like you working here will bring some good costumers" he smiles standing up walking around his desk to shake my hand.
I stand as well and hesitate but give him a handshake.

"You'll start tomorrow at 9:00 am so don't be late" he says in a stern voice. i just nod politely.

When I exited his office the girl working gave me the uniform I'm suppose to wear, telling how happy she is to have another helping hand around the store. I smiled and told her that I'm glad to be here and left to head back home to get ready for a big day tomorrow..... Which I wasn't very excited for.....

When I got home I started making food noticing Natsu vehicle was in his driveway, which got me thinking. I haven't heard from him all day.... I wonder where he was....

When I finished making food I put the leftovers in the fridge for later and sat on the couch watching some tv.
I soon found myself drifting off into deep thought.

I jumped a bit when I heard a bit bang, knocking out of my train of thought.
I heard Natsu taking off his shoes and walking over to the couch glancing at me. He sat next to me letting out a big sigh.
"Long day at work?" I asked moving my body to face him more
Natsu just nodded closing his eyes.

"Heh. Well I got a new job!" I say excitedly
He smiles not opening his eyes and just pats  my thigh, showing he proud.
I smile but still a bit afraid to say who i was working for..I didn't want him to be upset with me, however i truly needed this job.
I looked down and noticed a bruise on his for arm...
"Hey what happened to your arm?" I motioned toward it.
Natsu looks at me and looks down to his arm
"Oh yeah. And piece of plywood fell off a shelf and hit my arm. But don't worry it didn't hurt." He said rubbing his arm

'How can a piece of wood hitting you not hurt!!???' I thought gently running my hand over the bruise

(Natsu works in a lumber yard at a big hardware store, so he handles lots of big pieces of metal to wood and sometimes has to deliver those supplies to places)

"Just be more careful next time..." I say while snuggling into Natsu's chest, which I soon regret because of the bad smell of sweat Natsu has....
I quickly pull away
"Oh my god Natsu! You smell so bad!" I snicker as he looks at me all offended

"Hey it's been a hard day! It doesn't help that it's hot as hell outside!" He leans up sliding his shirt off

"You need a shower!" I say pointing in the direction of the bathroom
Natsu looks at me and suddenly gets really close
"Why don't your take one with me?~" he whispers looking at me with a smirk on his face.
I blush a dark shade of red covering his face with my hand pushing him away from me.
"D-don't say thing like that!!" I stutter out as he laughs at me
"But it's fun to see your reaction!" He laughs, walking to the bathroom shutting the door behind him.

I sat there in silence still blushing from his comment.....

Omg finally I got a another chapter out!!!! I need to get back in and start writing again uuugghhhhhh!!! I hope you guys like this chapter!! Thank you for being patient with me!
