Chapter 6

Jai POV

I woke up at 9:00, my ma is still sleep. She usually wakes up late unless she doesn't have to work. She knows I'm goin to Yah's crib so no need in lettin ha know. I grab a pancake that she had in the microwave, she must have cooked them for ha then went back to sleep. She does that so I'm not surprised. I use the bathroom then get dressed in some black b-ball shorts, some nerd glasses to match hers, and a red shirt. Even though I dont need glasses I put then on to surprise ha. I grab my phone and head ova to Yah's crib. Its 9:30 by the time I leave out. I ring ha doorbell a couple times and after about 5 minutes she comes down with an oversized brown jacket ova ha nightgown. She had eye burgers with dried drool down ha mouth. I bust out laughing, might I mention she has such an attitude when she wakes up.

Yoni: "Jai what the hell you doin here this early in the fuckin mornin?"
Me: "Well someone's grumpy. Can I at least come in ma?" I ask with a bit of sarcasm, knowing she would let me in.
Yoni: "Get yo ass in here boy, and close the door behind you when you come up." With that she walked back up the stairs. I soon followed after I closed the front door, I made it up the stairs and closed her door. I finally had a nice welcome when her dog Reko greeted me. After pettin him I walked to ha room and find ha back in the bed......wow. I decide to have some fun, so I hop on the bed and sit on ha back since she was sleepin on ha stomach.

Yoni: "Jai get the fuck of meeeeee! Its to early to be doing this. Moooove!" She was practically screamin.
Me: "Not till ya wake up and get outa bed. Im bored without ya."
Yoni: "Go watch t.v, and GET OFF ME NIGGA!"
Me: "Will ya get up!?"
Yoni: "Yes nigga now move!" I get up and she eventually gets up and puts some clothes on after doing ha hygiene. She had on the same shorts from the other day but put on a blue shirt. She looked good and smelled good too. She had on ha glasses and noticed mine, by now it was 11:00. Including the time when she ate a pb&j sandwich. We sit snuggled on ha back couch. It was cold but we didn't wanna turn off the a/c, she turns on Spongebob.

Me: "You must really like this show."
Yoni: "Of course, Spongebob is the best." I laugh and then we start crackin jokes on how a stove could catch fire underwater. We kept goin on and on. She really has made me happy. I've never laughed so hard in my life. Soon she gets a call from ha sis sayin to get ready. Apparently I'm invited to the mall with Yah and Bam, cool. It was a pretty hot day so I just leave on what I was wearin, Yoni on the other hand, put on some camo shorts but kept the shirt she had on with some new grey and white high top vans. Then she grabbed ha pink little book bag. Bam was 5 minutes away so we wait in the living room.

Me: "Hey Yah, what's in that book bag of yours?"
Yoni: "Oh nothin much just keys, some money, phone charger n shit."
Me: "So its basically a purse?"
Yoni: "Yea but I don't like to hold a purse plus I don't have one. Not really my style."
Me: "Kinda figured, hey there go Bam. Let's be out."

We leave and enter Bam's car, Yoni sat in the front seat. Its cool tho I like the back. Bam didn't say much, so Yoni put on some music. Hip Hop by August Alsina played as we made our way there.

*Skips to the food court*

By now its 3:40, I'm surprised that those two didn't drop dead, we've been here since 1:00 and practically all over this mall. Yah and I were hungry so she told ha sis we were goin to eat while Bam was so focused on an outfit on the other side of the mall. I had fun today. Nothin could ruin it.

Yoni POV

Me: "Hey Jai, you get some tacos from Taco Bell and I'll get some smoothies from Dunkin Donuts."
Jai: "Sounds like a plan babe." God it felt good to be out with Jai, we've been talkin all day. It felt like I already knew him, when he pulled me close to put his arm around me. He smelled so good and I felt protected and comfy. I still can't get over what he said to me when I talked to him about kissin my scars. I loved the way he made me feel and I don't say that about everyone.

I went to get the drinks when I looked over and saw something that shattered my heart.

Jai kissin on another girl. Jai's back was turned and they were against the wall with his hands holding himself up.

Wow

Did I mean nothin to his ass?
His dirty ass, he just wanna get in my pants.
He didn't mean a single thing he said to me.

I ran off cryin and sat on a bench under the escalators. Far from him. How could I have been so stupid?
