Chapter 2

And I was shocked to see that....

Jai was moving right next door to me! I was stunned, I didn't know what to think at that time. Why did he have to move right next door. Interrupting my train of thought by my sister, she said.

Bam: "Ain't that your little friend you was huggin on at the mall?"
Me: "Oh uh yea, he said he had to leave to help his mom unpack. I just didn't realize he was moving next to mama."
Bam: "Well aren't you going to have fun this summer." She sarcastically remarked.
Me: "Be quiet and come on." I stated annoyed.

We hop out the car and Jai sees me, he runs over and gives me a quick hug. Him and Bam said hi to each other and I got her in the house before she could say anything to embarrass me. Soon my whole damn family is outside on the porch. It was only my mom , step dad, and dog. My sister joins them leaving me in the house. I'm pretty sure that she's talking to Jai or telling my mom or Ricky (step dad) about our little meeting. I hurry and changed into a black T-shirt with some shorts. Leaving my vans on. Outside, I see that my family and Jai's have meet. Trying to keep my cool , I walk out casually towards Reko (my dog) and pet him. I felt as if all eyes were on me. AND IT WAS, I look up to wave at everyone and who I'm guessing to be Jai's mom walks up to me and says. (JM stands for Jai's Mom)

JM: "So you must be my son's new friend he meet today. Jai you were right, she is pretty." She had an accent like him but not as thick.
Jai: "Mom I told you not to say that." I saw him blush and look over at me.
Me: "Oh hi. Yea I am his new friend. My name is Yoni."
JM: "I like your name, and its very nice to meet you. Hopefully you and Jai will be close. He's shy."
Jai: "OKAAAY MOM, don't ya think you got some unpacking to do?" Wow, reallllly subtle Jai. With his mom getting the hint she agrees and goes into her new home. Leaving Jai.
My mom: "So Jai, are you hopping to get to know my daughter?" Oh Lord, fuck my life.
Me: "Uhh ok ma? Don't, just please.
Mom: "What?? I'm just asking. We're all curious." I look at Bam and Ricky and they shook their heads in agreement. I looked at Jai and mentally said "I'm sorry" but what he said completely blew my mind... And my family away.
