DALLAS WINSTON IMAGINE
for rygiancola ^^ Drugstore Cowboy anyone? 😼
I'm kinda glad I wrote this finally ...even though it might be suckish in all sorts of places. & I'm not saying this to have pity on myself, I legit take weeks to upload an imagine just of how nervous I am of it eheheh.. OKAY ENJOY. & Again! Thank you for the wait Rylie! (:

When you're Sodapop's twin, that's a good thing. Sodapop's very sweet for a brother and understanding. But when you're also the sister of Darry, that's..another thing. He can be insanely strict. Too strict at the fact he can't even accept teenage love. And he made it really clear that Dallas Winston shouldn't even be an option at dating someone for their first try, you want another option?...I'm kinda dating him. Dallas & I have been sneaking around for the last couple of weeks and haven't been caught. I understand we will sooner or later but how about later?

I figured it would be the only way to see him, he blankly agreed to it. Today would be one of those nights as I was standing inside my bathroom, looking at myself in the mirror, Sodapop knocked on it.

"Rylie! Come on, open up already!" He shouted tiredly, I checked the small clock on the wall next to me. 7:43 pm.

"Why do you sound so sleepy? It's the evening Soda. And I'm not quite finished with my lady-time in here!" I groaned, twirling my hand on my finger. "Because I just woke up from a nap Rye, I'm trying to use the bathroom but Pony said you were hoarding it for the past 45 minutes. If you were my twin, let me in." He chuckled at his rhythm. I sighed as grasped the door handle open.

"Happy?" I retorted.

"Very." He smiled cheekily. "What are you getting ready for anyway?" He pointed out, looking me up and down. I covered up the real reason.

"Conference night? Darry's taking me to meet my teachers since I'm not doing too well." I thinly laughed. He scrunched his eyebrows together, leaning himself off the doorway.

"But-"

"Just do your business already, Soda." I snapped jokingly, rolling my eyes and walking away. He looked amused for a second and retreated into the bathroom. I almost ran down the hall to my bedroom, shutting the down behind me as I searched for a nicer top, I found a simple black one that went well with my jeans as I headed towards the window. Reaching to pull it up, I carefully tried not to make a creaking noise. Successfully I did so as I rammed my body into the tiny frame, grunting along the way.

I jumped down from my window, dusting off the new form of tears on my jeans. "God," I cursed to myself, feeling the stinging sensation on my knees burn. My agitation was soon whipped off as two pairs of strong arms covered by a leather jacket spun me around, I giggled through the air as he set me down.

"Hey babe." He greeted with a kiss to my cheek.

"Dallas, you scared me." I whined while he stood with a smirk. My eyebrows furrowed soon after, to the pain growing on my knees.

"That was the plan." He remarked with a wicked grin. I rolled my eyes playfully at him and bent down, pressing on my knees. I heard him sigh after a few quiet moments.

"How much longer are you gonna do this Rylie?" He said lowly, referring to my new cuts through my jeans. I looked away and sighed.

"Their just new ones I got from jumping down from my window. It's no harm." I shrugged.

"No.. I mean, every time you get hurt by this. Either using your window, slipping off from it or tripping over the ladder. I mean, I just don't get why you'd risk yourself for keeping our relationship a secret from your brothers."

"I know... I know. I just don't want them to worry as if you're some type of caution sign."

"But I am." He thinly joked while laughing. I smiled weakly at him. "I just don't want you to get hurt every single time for me. Physically and emotionally by being afraid of your brothers." He whispered, softly holding my hands to his chests as he leaned his forehead on mine. My tears from the pain loosely slid down my face as he brushed it off with his thumb.

I nodded and cleared my throat. "You're right Dallas, I don't want to make you feel uncomfortable with our relationship like this." He nodded a bit as we still stood in each other's arms.

He released soon after and looked in my eyes. "When are you gonna tell them?" He asked quietly.

"Tell us what?" My heart pounced at the sudden voice of Darry and Sodapop standing by the backdoor, arms crossed with annoyance on their face.

"Darry-" I started to say as I looked at Dallas's vivid expression, he was looking in the same direction at their angry faces. Worry hidden through his mind. I walked in front of Dallas and prepared myself for a punishment.

"Anything you wanna tell us Rylie?" Sodapop asked behind Darrel. I shook my head a bit while Dallas nudged me from behind.

"Uh.. Yes." I began. Their faces edged us to go on. "I'm..me. Well." I stuttered a bit, Dallas whispered something in my ear from behind.

"Don't be afraid, be confident for me." He whispered as he held my waist. I shook my head at him and turned to face my brothers, still crossing their arms.

"Me and Dallas are dating." I stated.

"How long has this been going on?" Darry asked with a strict voice.

"2, maybe 3 weeks." I said unsurely. They looked at me shocked for a second. "And you've been lying to us all this time?" He asked firmly. I nodded slowly.

"Yes. And I'm sorry! Okay? I-I know you don't approve of him Darry, but he makes me insanely happy. I understand the consequences of dating and it doesn't matter who. You'll wind up hurt in the end but right now? I'm happy." I smiled at my words, facing a grinning Dallas. Darry just glared at Sodapop while he walked towards us. Uh-oh.

Once he gained closer, my body stiffened. Darry flashed his eyes towards Dallas then at me. He drew in a breath and faced a confused Dally, gripping his shoulders with his hands as my heart rate thumped from inside.

"Just.. Take good care of her." He sighed at him. Dallas's pale color returned to normal as Darry put his hand out for him to shake as he did so.

"If you've been treatin' her well for the past 3 weeks, continue on then. Even though I'm shocked as hell." I laughed a bit at his last sentence as I pulled my older brother in for a hug, mumbling a 'thank you' at him. "Anything for you Rylie. Just, no more lying?" I quickly shook my head at Darry for assurance that it wouldn't happen again.

"Yes sir." Dallas smiled, raising my hand and kissing my knuckle. Sodapop came into view as he patted Darry's back, before smiling down at me as they returned inside for Bed.

"Soo.. What do you wanna do now?" Dallas asked next to me. I felt my lips curl into a smirk as I leaned towards him as he continued the same. Before our lips could touch, I noticed something behind Dallas shoulder,

A spying Ponyboy near the porch window. I groaned slightly as Dallas turned around to notice, before roaring with laughter.

"Go to bed buddy." Dallas yelled over at him. I heard him laugh wildly through the house as I giggled to myself.

Pretty good conference night I had with my parents and Dally. xD
