Wanting To Be Yours

♥Chapter Eight♥

        "She would love to!"  said my friend Autumn while holding my arms tightly and moving me closer to Ethan. 

         I turned my head and gave her my confused look.  Autumn knew that I stopped talking to Ethan a long time ago.

            Ethan and I used to be really close but something happened and I never want to speak of it ever again.

            Anyways since I was moved closer to Ethan by my not-so-awesome friend anymore. I decided to dance with him.

            The awkward meter is definitely all the way up now. 

            Does Ethan still like me after everything that happened the past few years??  I questioned myself in my mind.

            "You didn't have to say yes if you didn't want to dance with me you know"  Ethan said.

              "What made you think that I didn't want to dance with you?"  I answered back lying. 

               "You can cut the act, you're kind of bad at lying"  Ethan said with a smirk.

                  Oh my god I can't believe that he found out I was lying.  I feel so bad now. 

                Come on Cher way to go I said to myself.

                  "I'm so sorry Ethan, I didn't want to lie to you but I had to,  It's because we haven't talked to each other for so long and everything is kind of awkward now"  I said to Ethan with a very embarrassed voice. 

               "It's fine and I'm sorry that I haven't been talking to you after what happened a long time ago"  Ethan said while looking down at his shoes.

                   "It's okay, umm do you want to go get a drink and eat?" I asked him with a smile.  

                    "Sure, that would be great" He answered me with a cute smile.

                Everything seems fine now between me and Ethan.  I'm so happy that we are friends again.  

                    "I'm gonna go to the bathroom"  I said to Ethan standing up and grabbing my purse from the table.

                    I made my way to the girls bathroom.  There were balloons everywhere on the gym floor so I had to kick them out of my way.  

                    Finally I got out of the gym.  While walking towards the bathroom and checking my purse for something, I bumped into Max.  I still had my mask on so I'm pretty sure he didn't know it was me.   We stared at each other for about a minute.   

                  "I'm sorry" I said to him very quietly and then rushed to the bathroom.  I can't believe I bumped into him again, this is the second time! But at least he didn't know it was me. 

                       In the girls bathroom I just fixed my hair, checked my face and then went in the gym.  I didn't want to stay in the dance any longer so I told Ethan that I'm going home.  Ethan offered to drop me off so I let him.
