MAINE's POV

I opened my eyes and took a deep breath, seeing the rays of the sun peeking through the thick curtains in my bedroom. I stretched a bit and cuddled closer to Rj.

"Good morning," I murmured softly as I propped on my elbow and stared at the picturesque scene that is a sleeping Rj. I focused my gaze on him, his face peaceful and serene. Rj, being a light sleeper that he is, must have felt me staring at him, so he slowly stretched, his arms then tightening around me. He opened his eyes and found mine, he smiled and I felt my heart skipped a beat. I've missed that face.

"Good morning." He said. I could only smile back at him and wished that time would stop right at that moment.

"I love you." Was all I could say.

"You know I love you too, Meng. But let's just take this one step at a time."

"It's okay, Rj. I understand. You need time. Just know that I'll be waiting, ipapakita ko sayo na kahit anong mangyari, kahit gano pa katagal, maghihintay ako. Hindi ako aalis. Hindi na ako aalis. I'm here to stay because I belong with you."

Rj smiled at me; a genuine smile, and bent to kiss the top of my head. I closed my eyes and wrapped my arms around him, praying to God to somewhat ease Rj of the pain I've caused. We stayed wrapped in each other's warmth, having a world of our own but then his phone rang, snapping us back to reality.

"You should take that. Baka importante."

Rj reached for his phone on my bed side table and swiped his finger on the screen, answering whoever is calling him at 7 in the morning.

"Hello po, Ms. Jenny?........ 9 am po? Okay sige po....... Okay po, inform ko nalang din si Meng...... Okay po......." Rj ended the call then he carelessly threw his phone somewhere on the bed.

"9 am daw call time natin sa EB today. Parang may prod ata tayo or something like that."

"Oh.. I guess we better start preparing." I said as I set the covers aside and stood up. "I'll whip us up some breakfast. Ligo ka na, para after mo, ready na yung food."

After we finished eating and getting ready, we both gathered our things and went on our separate cars, arriving in Brodway simultaneously. We were both greeted by the Dabarkads enthusiastically, each one seemingly happy that we're now on good terms. Our separation wasn't a secret, but the real reasons behind it were not divulged to the public.

The rehearsal and show went on as usual, both of us still getting accustomed to working with each other again. The chemistry was still there, both on and off screen and I'm glad that it's the case. Kinikilig pa rin ako sa kanya even after all these years.

After finishing EB, we decided to grab a cup of coffee at our favorite place, relishing the memories we shared.

"I've missed this." I whispered, reaching for his hand, sitting down after ordering.

"Me too, Meng. Sobra."

"I've missed you more, though."

"I've missed you too. I see you haven't changed your favorite drink."

"But of course. You know I love my Caramel Machiatto."

"And don't forget the Blueberry Cheesecake."

"Haha yes! Remember when we shared one but you were so hungry you ended up finishing the whole thing?"
