(Eremin) I love you too, you idiot (AU)

Armin's P.O.V

I woke up in the morning, to an call. I looked who it was, and I had the biggest guess, Eren. Eren has started to call me in the morning for "important" stuff. I touched my phone screen and put it on my ear. 

"Yeah?" I asked him in my sleepy voice.

"Hey dude, I just wanted to ask you something." He said with his cherfull voice.

Eren is the type of guy who is happy one moment, and the other he's a big pain. I don't hate him for that but it kinda annoys me. He has started to act strange around me too, it's like he's nervous or something. I really don't understand it, but I want to know why.

"What is it?" I asked him as I stretched my arms.

"Just wondering that uhmm... Would you wanna, like go to the movies tonight? There's a new movie out and I wanna watch it with you." He said nervously, but still as cool as he could.

I knew something was up, he never acted like this with me, he would always tell me stuff without hesitation. I looked at the time, and it was 10 AM. I knew that I could go to the library, but I would forget about the time.

"Can I come over in a hour or so. I don't have anything to do, and I don't want to stay home all day. So can I come?" I asked him while standing up.

"Sure why not, but Mikasa is not here, she went with some of her friends to a football match." Eren said laughing a little.

"I don't mind. I'll see you in a hour." I said while ending the call. 

I walked down the stairs and ate some bread. I put on a blue overly sized hoodie and some black jeans. I looked in the mirror, and left to Eren's place. As I walked to his place, I looked and saw how spring was coming. Everybody was cleaning their porches and putting winter stuff back in to their sheds. I heard the bird's chirping in the air, and lots of other animals. I felt a little cold, but I was fine. I never thought about myself, I put others ahead of my health and needs. But people really didn't notice the difference. I was always the outcast in our group of friends, except for Eren, He always wanted to help me even in my toughest times. That's why he is my best friend. I can tell him anything, and he will listen. As I was on front of he's house, I knocked lightly and wen't inside.

"Eren! I'm here!" I shouted to find him. 

I heard footsteps from upstairs, so I followed the sound. I peeked in to his room, and he was walking in circles. He mumbled something, but I didn't hear it.  I knocked on his door and he jumped. 

"Dude, don't scare me like that! I had a fucking heart attack!" He shouted to me while he tried to get he's breathing back to normal.

I couldn't do anything else but laugh. Eren gets scared easily, like a little kitten. He pouted to me and I stopped laughing and looked at him. My body was aching now, because I laughed too much, but it didn't matter. Eren looked seriosly at me and I kinda got scared, he's never this serious. He tapped his bed, a place next to him. I gulped and walked to the spot he tapped. 

"We need to talk." He said in a really low voice.

"What about?"

"About something."

"Tell me then."

" I rather not."

"Well if you wanted to talk to me, then why aren't you saying anything. Silly."

"It's about us.."

"What about us? Aren't we friends?"

"..."

I looked him in the eye, but he didn't look at me. I got quite inpatient about him and wanted a awnser. 

"Eren, what is it." I lowerd my voice, people say that i'm scary when I do that, so why not try it.

He looked at me and he looked like he was in pain. His eyes were filled with saddnes, that was about to get out of him. He started crying. I didnt know what was happening, so I just sat there and looked at him. 

"Why are you looking at me? Im hideous, I don't deserve you!" He shouted as he held his head in his knees. 

I shushed him and took his head and put it on my cheast. I started rocking him like a baby and calming him down. We were like this for a while, but I need it to know what's in his mind.

"Eren, what's up?" I asked him and waited for a awnser.

He didn't say anything, he sniffed a few times and looked up at me. I smiled at him, he gave me a weak smile and looked back at the floor. He tightened he's grip on me and sniffed again.

"I have a weird feeling for you." He said it, more like whispered it.

I could feel my body warming up, and my head getting fuzzy. I looked down at him, and he just ignored it.

"Eren?"

"No don't, I know it sounds crazy, but I love you. I've loved you since preschool. I've loved how your eyes shine in the light and how it glows in the night. I love your flowing hair and how you talk about your dreams. I love your smile and how you look at everything as possible. Even the hardest things, you can get past if you put your mind in it. I love how you always look at people not how they look, but how they act. And I still don't understand why your staying with me. It's killing me, wanting you but not getting you. I've always needed you in my life but your too far to reach. Please don't hate me but I want to wake up next to you, smelling your wonderful smell. I want to hug you whenever I want. I also want to kiss you to claime you as mine. And to pick me up when I'm sad. I just need you!"

He had started crying, as he stood in front of me, I could feel my eyes getting watery too. I just looked at him while smiling. I stood up and cupped my hands to his chin, and rubbed my fingers to get the tears out of his way.

"I love you too, you idiot." I said while kissing his forehead.

He then started to cry even more, as he hugged me. I felt like he was going to be like this for a while, but I didn't mind. He's my friend and I want to help. But I don't think we're friends anymore. I think we're a bit more than that. And I love it.

"I love you too"
