I woke up barely after 12, I sighed heavily but went down to lunch to eat. Hardly any of the students were there and the ones that were obviously were older with free periods. I started shaking realising coming down this early was a mistake and drawing attention to myself.
I sat down with my bag anyway and dug into whatever I could get my hands on as I was famished.
The hall filled up slowly, I knew when Violet and her friends showed up the girl who was loud and changed her appearance burst into the hall shouting "food, I have missed you!"
I giggled slightly and returned to my lamp chops or more bones on my plate. I frowned I was excited about starting my classes but I'd missed some lessons this morning and that was bound to cause suspicion amongst my year group. I was distracted quickly by the girl jumping up squealing and running around the great hall with a boy chasing her who appeared to have mashed potato in his hair, he yelled "oh no you don't." I giggled again then winced as it was all too loud for me but fun to watch. The hall erupted in laughter as everyone turned to watch.
"Not funny George! Ron Hermione help me!" She squealed sprinting through the tables, "ginny, ruby please! Help me and I'll help with your essays for a whole month!"
The boy caught her in his grip grinning triumphantly, it was ill lasted as she wriggled and transformed into a snake that slid easily from his grasp.
"Hey! That's unfair" he shouted furiously.
She grinned back, "that's what you get for trying to catch a metamorphmagus." He growled and lunged after her again.
The hall were sided now, half cheering the girl on, the rest cheering on the boy.
She ran past a stern looking teacher, "Minnie! I'm a good transfiguration student, right?" She gasped.
"Miss potter, stop being so immature and wear the correct uniform!"
"Never!" She laughed.
She begged a few other teachers but they all refused her, she sighed again as the boy caught her, "okay you win"
"Good game" he grinned boyishly.
She grinned slyly and shook his hand, he jumped back with a disgusted cry "gross! Alli what the hell!"
"Oh come on you baby it's only pumpkin juice" alli grinned running out of the hall as the boy chased her again.
I saw many students shaking their heads sand talking excitedly about what had happened.
I stood up and left to go to my first class of the day.

I found Professor Snape just before dinner was over that would take me where I could transform safely, he seemed extremely ill tempered. His cloak billowing out behind him like a great big bat, he looked behind him several times to make sure I was following unlike last night. I cringed internally as I pictured how wrong it could've gone had I not left that wolf girl. I didn't notice when he halted till I ran into him, I leapt back cringing and whispering, 'sorry, sorry.'
He sighed but said nothing just motioned with his hand for me to go into the dungeon.
I whimpered but slowly walked over, inside were blankets and pillows and a floating basin of water, I looked at him in surprise. He had a look like he'd just eaten sour lemons by the bucketful. "We aren't heartless, I will come and let you out early tomorrow," I nodded slowly and made my way over to the clumps of pillows, curled up in the centre was Sintar.
'It's about time you come down here I was getting bored,' she flicked her ear distastefully.
I growled softly back at her, 'oh nice of you to show up since you've been ignoring me ALL DAY.'
The panther closed her eyes yawning and stretching.
The Snape closed and locked the door, I growled again and slumped down to endure the torturous night.

Good to his word Snape came and got me as the sun was just about to rise, he didn't speak to me just took me to the common room and left again. I opened the door only to come face to face with the wolf girl Violet, she seemed distracted but glared suspiciously at me again, I wanted to roll my eyes.
"Why aren't you in the dorm room" she asked in a low growling voice.
Instantly my courage failed, I shrunk into myself, "I went for a walk, well where are you going?"
She fidgeted on her feet for a second before answering. "Not really any of your business newbie, just tell Alli, Ron, Harry, Hermione I'm busy with um something and I'll see them later." With that she shrugged around me and left down the corridor.
I stood there uncertainly for a few minutes before going to get dressed.
I went down to the dining hall long before anyone was even thinking of getting up and sat to wait.
The students trailed in slowly at first like trickling water, before too long it was full of kids drooping over juice and coffee.
Violets friends weren't hard to find, Alli was loud as always I took a deep breath and slowly walked up to them, twisting the hem of my jumper nervously my hair falling into my eyes.
"V..Violet wanted t..to say," I gulped my eyes darting to each in turn, Alli smiled and placed a comforting hand on my shoulder, "it's okay! You can talk to us we won't bite, well I might," She grinned slyly.
"Alli!" Hermione scolded her.
Alli glared at her, "only joking"
I grinned slightly standing a little straighter, "Violet wanted to say she's busy at the moment." I stood up taller internally cringing at how stupid I sounded to myself.
Alli nodded slowly looking a bit confused, "busy with what?"
"Its secret" I blurted out cursing myself because she never said it was secret.
"What's the secret?" Alli asked at the same time Hermione asked, "what's your name?"
"Uhh it's I..Ila" I shrunk low again,
"That's a nice name!" Alli said "Ila, it's like a name out of a fairytale!"
I glared at her, I hated being referred to as anything cheerful when what I am is a beast.
"I don't believe in fairy tales, reality is bad, it's better to know what life really is than be disappointed or terrified!" I spat bitterly.
Alli and Hermiones eyes widened in surprise, "well you sure know how to cheer someone's day up-" Alli said sarcastically but Hermione slapped her arm halting her mid sentence.
Hermione turned to me and said gently, "reality is better than you think Ila."
"Yeh!" Alli agreed eagerly, "whatever happens, reality gives you a good in the situation, whether it be big or small it's always there you just have to find it."
I smiled at them gratefully, " thanks, I will find it then."
I turned away from them and ran out to the forest grinning like a maniac the whole time as I flew with the inhuman speed of a panther.
