song: somebody to you - The Vamps ft Demi Lovato↬
all I want to be is somebody to you
Ethan's POV
It sucks, doesn't it? Liking someone you can't have. Seeing them everyday, but knowing that they'll never be yours. It's the worst feeling, cause all you can do is dream about and wish for them, but never have them.
I stood by her/him locker waiting for him/her to walk out of her/his classroom.
"Y/n?" I asked. She/he turned her/his head towards me.
"Hey, Ethan." She/he smiled and put in her/his locker combination. "Do you need something?"
"Uh, I-I was wondering if maybe you wanted to hang out later, after school?" I asked scratching the back of my neck.
She/he started slowly putting his/her books away.
"Um, that sounds nice, but I actually can't. I'm just going to be busy later. Sorry." She/he said.
She's/he's probably lying. She/he doesn't want to hang out with a loser like me. She'd/he'd rather hang out with the jocks who just want to get in her/his pants.
"Uh, yeah. Yeah, that- that's fine. Sorry for asking." I said looking down. I turned around and walked away.
I walked over to Grayson. "What's wrong?" He asked.
"Y/n. She/he said she's busy." I mumbled. Grayson rolled his eyes.
"Dude, just get over him/her. If she/he can't see how awesome you are then he/she isn't worth it."
"But y/n is worth it. I like her/him a lot. And I can't get over her/him."
"Yet, she/he ignores you, but you like him/her. he/she does nothing, but you fall for him/her. You miss her/him even though you know he's/she's never thought about you."
"Thanks, Grayson. That makes me feel so much better." I rolled my eyes and walked away from him.

I looked at the time on my phone. I heard the last bell ring. I walked out of class and went to my locker.
"Hey, you little bitch." I heard the captain of the football team, Brian, say as he leaned against the locker next to mine.
I seen the two other jocks standing behind him.
"I heard you asked y/n out. You better back off you little pussy, he's/she's not interested in you." He said pushing my shoulder, roughly.
I stumbled backwards lightly. I pushed my glasses up. Brian chuckled. He reached for my glasses, and pulled them off. He threw them on the ground and stomped on them, crushing them.
"Just leave me alone, Brian." I said. That was probably a bad idea.
He slammed me against the locker and punched my in the jaw.
