"No, when I woke up he was gone." You told the officer. You sat at your kitchen table, talking to the officer, while the ten other police agents stood around listening.
"Do you know where he might have gone?" He asked.
"No."
The cop nodded writing things down. He asked a few more questions related to Grayson's 'disappearance'.
"You should stay home. If you need anything, come down to the police station. But you should stay somewhere where we can find you." The police officer said.
The officers said they were going to have a search party. They left shortly after.
You walked upstairs, calling Grayson's phone.
He didn't answer. You sat on your and Grayson's bed, worrying about him.
It was stupid to think that he wouldn't leave.
I shouldn't be worrying about him, you thought. He doesn't care. I'm dead to him, and he should be dead to me.
You paced around your house waiting for a call. Waiting for them to say they found Grayson but they didn't.
You decided on going to the police station, seems how you practically lived there, for the amount of times you'd gone there.
You sat in the waiting chair. After hours of waiting, you seen the police officer walk in.
His eyes had a look of sorry in them. He asked if he could talk to you in his office.
You sat down in the chair, worried about what you would hear.
"We found Grayson." The officer said. "He was at a hotel just a few miles out. He had a bag with him, filled with drugs and weapons."
"I'm sorry to say this," The officer said looking down. You started to cry knowing what he was going to say.
"Grayson is dead. We found him lying on the floor. It was drug overdosage. I'm so sorry,
(y/n)." The cop said. You were already sobbing. Your head was buried in your hands.
"No, this isn't real. It can't be. I-I didn't even get to say goodbye. I-I yelled at him, and I'm going to have to live with that for the rest of my life." You sobbed, stuttering over your words.
"I didn't even say 'I love you'." You cried. The officers drove you home.
You had called Ethan, telling him what happened, but barely being able to talk from all the crying.

It was about two weeks after Grayson had passed. Ethan had been staying with you, keeping you company.
You didn't like Ethan staying with you. He just reminded you of Grayson. But he also kept you company.
You had barely left your room all week. You had cried each day and night, crying yourself to sleep. You wished you hadn't been so mean to Grayson.
The words you said would replay in your head.
Grayson's family had arranged the funeral, which was today. You didn't want to go.
But Ethan insisted.
You wore a black dress, with black heels. Your hair was curled, and you wore the necklace Grayson had bought you.
You stood in front of your mirror, staring at yourself.
You watched Ethan through the mirror. He came up behind you, wrapping his arms around your waist.
"You look beautiful." He whispered. He kissed your shoulder, then your cheek.
You appreciated Ethan trying to make you feel better. You loved Ethan. But not liked you loved Grayson.
You'd rather have Grayson showing you affection. Not Ethan. But Grayson was gone.
You knew what Ethan was doing. And it was slowly working.
But Grayson would soon find his way back into your mind and you would push Ethan away.
"We should go." You mumbled walking downstairs and getting into Ethan's car.

play the songYou arrived at the funeral home. You walked inside with Ethan. You were given a small pamphlet.
You walked inside and sat down next to Grayson's family. Ethan sat next to you. He put his warm hand on your thigh.
You looked down at his hand.
The ceremony began and many people gave speeches.
Almost everyone had tears coming down their cheeks, including you.
It was Ethan's turn to give a speech. He walked up to the stage.
"Grayson was my best friend. I loved him. We had our issues but I still cared about him. It's horrible that this was the cause of his death. Grayson was there for me when no one else was. He knew how to make me feel better. He knew how to make me smile. I loved Grayson, and I always will."
You wiped the tears from your eyes.
People began to walk up to Grayson's open casket, placing flowers down.
You walked up to Grayson's casket. He was wearing a black suit. You didn't care about your tears anymore. You let them fall.
You watched as a a tear fell down and landed on Grayson's right cheek. You took off the necklace you were wearing, and placed it on Grayson's chest. You moved his hands, so they were placed over the necklace.
After the viewing, everyone ate, and drank wine in his 'memory'. You couldn't stand it. Everyone seemed happy.
You hated seeing them happy, when you were so sad.

You stood by the grave, that read Grayson Bailey Dolan. You bent down placing a flower on the grave.

You woke up walking downstairs. You walked into the living room, seeing Grayson peacefully lying him the couch.
You stared at his face, seeing a little droplet of water on his right cheek, with the necklace he bought you, held in his hands.
