As a father, Liam would be kind and gentle and very, very proud. At the first glance of his baby girl, his face would beam with a joy that would stay until her wedding day and beyond. He'd be thoughtful— offering to get up with the baby in the night, bandaging her knees when she falls off her training bike, and taking her on daddy dates well into her teenage years. After she was just born, you'd find him sitting, standing, or walking with her, talking her ear off— just like he used to when she was still in your belly— about what's going on, and how things work, and how much he loves her, as often as he got the chance. He'd cry when he had to miss months of her precious life while away on tour and would skype every day so that he could see both of your faces and watch her grow up. "I miss you babe. I miss you both." he'd always say, tears tugging at his eyes. "I'll be home soon, okay, love? You get more beautiful every day." He would smile through his wet eyes as you would bounce your little girl on your knee. Sniffles and laughter at her cute face would follow and he'd look straight into her eyes. "I love you. Don't ever forget that, you understand?"
