Chapter 5

'Ooh! This Jutsu is so cool!'

I had finished some of the Taijutsu book when I woke up this morning. I wanted to learn something else, so I searched for other types of Jutsu's; There was a book titled 'forms of Ninjutsu' in the stack that I was given.

Upon reading it, I read the types of Jutsu's that I could learn. There was one showing how to protect yourself with your Chakra. Another showing what certain members of a clan could learn. Even one showing how to combine them together! Of all of them, one seemed to catch my eye.

'Senjutsu? That sounds interesting..'

Reading the description under the word, it made me more intrigued.

"The Art of taking the energy of living things and mixing it with ones Chakra for greater power."

'I could learn this one!'

I had my mind set on learning this one but, what the book said made me rethink my decision.

"These techniques are difficult to master, people known to use these techniques are sages. Certain clans have tried to master this technique but become berserk, destroying everything in their path; as a result, they lose all their Chakra rendering them useless. Practitioners must enter a state called 'Sage mode'."

The next paragraph made me frown a bit more.

"This mode is known to be taught at two locations which is Ryūchi Cave and Mount Myōboku. Practitioners must learn Senjutsu techniques before practicing Sage mode."

'Well, that sucks. I can't learn it here...'

'Wait, it says those are the known spots. It could be taught somewhere else and I don't know about it! Yeah, what if someone here could teach me? I bet I can find someone.'

Being satisfied with the thoughts in mind I gave a knowing smile.

'Yeah! I'll show this world anyone can do anything!'

"You want us to what?!"

"I want squad seven to show the girl around. Due to Kakashi skepticism, I will assign your team the mission. If watching the girl himself will ease his mind then I will grant Kakashi with this opportunity."

Squad seven were called by the Hokage the next morning to be given another mission; the mission that they received wasn't one they expected.

"Ugh I don't care!"

Sakura and Sasuke were fine with it because they too agree with their Sensei's doubt in the origins of the girl. Naruto, on the other hand, wanted to complain about it since he didn't want the task of babysitting a girl that was the same age as him.

"I don't want another D ranked mission that is taking care of someone again! I want to go on a real mission, like safe a princess or something!"

The Hokage gave glare towards the insolent boy in front of him.

"You will accept this mission! You are not trained enough to take a mission higher than D rank! Also, you're not the leader, only Kakashi can decline the mission."

All heads whipped towards the snow haired Ninja, awaiting his response. Kakashi gave a closed eye smile towards the Hokage.

"We'll accept the mission."

'This one seems good with what I'm going for.'

I decided to take on two Ninjutsu's: Senjutsu and Medical Ninjutsu. While I'm being strong with learning Senjutsu, I could also learn Medical Ninjutsu to heal my teammates! I be a good asset to the team! Medical Ninjutsu doesn't seem so hard, well, not as hard as Senjutsu anyway.

"Alright let's see if I can do this right...I need a guinea pig.."

I look around the room for something to practice with, looking towards my left, I see the vase full of flowers.

Inspecting closer, I notice some of them were changing color that was a muddy brown; others were just starting to wilt.

'Wow, these flowers are not being well taken care of...they haven't been watered in weeks.'

Sitting criss cross, I grab the vase and settle it between my legs. Putting the book down on the side of the bed, I read the passage a bit more, I try to memorize what it says.

"Okay, according to this, if I move my hands like this, and little like this..."

Copying what the hand signs the book shows, I slowly say the words in my head.

'Medical...Nin....Jutsu!'

Opening my hands so my palms were showing, I press them towards the plant. A soft forest green light comes out of my palms, spreading towards the plant.

'It's working! It's actually working!!'

My excitement was short lived due to the beautiful light disappearing with a small spark. Startled, I let out a gasp.

The plant slumped back down, as if upset that my Ninjutsu didn't work as well. I gave a small frown.

'Well, I shouldn't have expected it to work the first time, I guess...'

That got me going again.

'Yeah, I just got to keep practicing!'

Now that I'm more motivated, I go back to practicing on bringing my guinea pig back to a healthier state.

"Soooo when do we take this girl around Konoha?"

"When she can leave the hospital obviously, you idiot!"

Naruto turned to the Rose haired individual, giving his confused look once more.

"Well duh, I know that obviously, I'm saying when can she come out?"

Sasuke spoke up, joining in the conversation.

"The doctor said she had to rest for a few days but that was two days ago."

Naruto then turned towards Sasuke, giving him an annoyed expression.

"We know that Sasuke! I'm saying when is she suppose to get out??"

"None of you worry about that, I'll go check up on her after training today."

All three members of squad seven turned towards their Sensei in a questioning manner. Sakura chimed in.

"I'll go too! I was really worried about her, she had a lot of injuries..."

Sakura's voice died down at the memory. Naruto gave a look of concern at what Sakura said. Sasuke didn't seem fazed but he was bit worried as well.

Kakashi gave his students a small smile at their concern.

"Don't worry. I talked to the doctor about the girls injuries. He said that the injuries weren't serious and she just needed to let them heal."

At their Sensei's words, their concern faces melted into ones of relief.

"That's good but, I wonder what attacked her..."

"By the looks of them, they weren't made by an animal or a weapon."

Naruto gave a face of confusion.

"What? Then what could she have gotten cut with??"

Kakashi pondered for a second.

"Well, we'll know when we can talk to her."
