It was Wednesday morning at about 4:30 in the morning, and it was no surprise that I was the only one up. I quietly climbed out of my mattress, grabbed my phone from the charger, and turned the flashlight on as I walked to the bathroom to start getting ready for the day. Julia had went out and bought us tooth brushes, tooth paste, razors, body wash, and shampoo. I started the water and waited for it to warm up while I went over to the door and locked it so nobody could come in while I was getting ready. I walked over to the water and put my hand under it to see what it felt like, once I decided it was good, I pulled up on the rod that makes the water come out of the shower head and put my head in it to start washing my hair. "I hope Sky's okay, and Julia," I said to myself quietly, "I wonder if she'll be allowed to live on her own," I said once I realized Julia was too young to live on her own, "unless she was held back a year, but that's impossible, she's one of the top students in the school, let alone the junior class," I stopped talking and reached for the shampoo that Julia got for us, I squirted a good amount in my hand, since my hair was so long. I got a little water in the shampoo and then started rubbing it in my hair, it took me about ten minutes to get in rinsed out, but once I did, I wrapped my hair in a towel and walked over to the sink and started brushing my teeth.

I smiled in the mirror to look at my teeth and then pulled the towel off of my head and stood there and looked at my dark brown hair with the bright green tips carefully, "I really hate this," I said while holding a piece of hair up to my eye level, "I hate the green, I hate the length, I hate the brown, I hate my hair," I said while opening the bathroom cabinet. I found exactly what I was looking for, "scissors," I said to myself, I grabbed the shiny, silver scissors and sat them on the bathroom counter. I walked over to the door quietly and double checked to make sure it was locked before I did anything, once I confirmed it was locked, I walked back over to the counter and grabbed the scissors, I took one last look in the mirror at my long hair, "here goes nothing," I whispered to myself.

I held a chunk of my hair and snipped it off, I watched it slowly fall to the floor before I cut another piece off and then I watched that piece fall to the floor, "no more long hair," I said as I snipped another piece off, "no more green tips," I watched another piece fall to the floor, "no more braids," I saw more hair float to the ground, "no more ponytails," I stopped and looked in the mirror at my half cut hair, "too late to go back now," I said as I started on the other half of my hair, "good bye long hair," I said as I cut last part of my hair, "hello short hair," I stepped back and looked at my new haircut, I only cut it to my shoulders, but I never had it this short before, "I forgot what my hair looked like with no coloring," I said to myself, I grabbed my phone to check the time, "5:39, wow, I've been in here for over an hour," I looked back up at the mirror amd saw my eyes glow green amd I watched as the green tips started to appear again, I frowned before I said, "I guess I'm stuck with them."

I walked out of the bathroom and noticed that Camille and Misty just got up and were very quietly talking, they turned around and looked at me in awe, "your hair," Misty started, "you cut it, why?"

"I was getting tired of it," I started, "I hated it, it needed to change," I said with a frown.

"Why though, it was really cool when it was long," Camille said.

"I just," I paused and realized, "I cut my hair because of my mom," I whispered to myself.

"Huh," they both said.

"It just needed to change," I said again.

"I feel like it goes deeper than that," Camille said.

"I was just trying to see if I could get rid of the green tips," I lied.

"That kind of makes sense, but your not fooling us," Misty said.

"And we won't force it out of you," Camille said while staring Misty down.

"Fine," she said with her arms crossed.

"You seem like you've calmed down," I said, changing the subject as I sat down on the floor.

"Yeah, I feel a lot better today, but I really want to talk to Sky."

"Me too," Camille and I agreed.

"Maybe we could see if Julia could take us today, especially if she wants to teach us telepathy," I said with a smile while I held a piece of my hair in front of my face.

"I don't really know if I'd call it that," Camille said to me.

"I'm going to go get ready," Misty said as she got up and walked to the bathroom.

"I should probably get ready too, I just need to brush my hair and teeth," Camille said as she went to her bag and grabbed her brush.

"I never brushed my hair," I said as I continued to look at my short hair, "I don't think I will," I shrugged.

"It doesn't look bad," Camille said to me as she started brushing through her messy, long hair, "maybe I should cut my hair," she joked.

"Why," I asked as I grabbed some random clothes to change into once Misty and Camille were done with the bathroom.

"It's too much work and I never even do anything with it," she joked.

"Maybe if you parted it to the left, cut some bangs, and then started putting it in a ponytail or braiding it," I said as I started twisting pieces of my hair together.

"Maybe," she said as she continued to brush through her knotted hair.

"Alright Camille," Misty started as she walked out of the bathroom, "I'm done getting ready."

"I'm still brushing my hair," she replied.

"I'll go get dressed," I said as I got up with some clothes in my hands. I was in the bathroom again, I locked it once I sat my clothes down, after that, I got dressed quickly and went right back out, "I'm done," I said as I sat down in my spot.

"Cute," Misty said.

"Forget my hair, I'm going to brush my teeth," Camille yelled as she threw her brush acrossed the room.

"Here," I said as I walked over to Camille, "on days that my hair wouldn't cooperate with me, I just braided it," I said to Camille as I sat down with a ponytail and started braiding it.

"Thanks," Camille said once I was finished.

"It looks cute too," Misty said.

"Guys, I'm leaving in five minutes," Julia hollered down at us.

"Okay," the three of us yelled as Camille started rushing to finish getting ready.
