Monday...

"Thanks for giving us the weekend off," Camille said to Julia as she bit down on a piece of freshly cooked bacon.

"Your welcome," Julia said as she continued to cook some more delicious smelling bacon.

"Are we meeting back stage," Sky asked as she ate her last piece of bacon.

"Yeah, make sure you guys have everything, and remember to keep homecoming open."

"Ugh, I really am not looking forward to it" I said.

"Do we need to wear our costumes," Sky asked.

"It'd be weird if we showed up dressed up in super hero outfits to a football game," Sky said.

"Just wear what you feel like wearing," Julia said to us.

"Maybe it'll be different this year," I said positively as Julia handed me a plate with three pieces of bacon on it.

"I highly doubt it," Sky said sadly.

"The school is so cheap, I don't know how they manage to higher teachers that actually know what they're doing," Julia said to us.

"I don't even know about that, a lot of my teachers don't really teach, they hand us a piece of paper, make us write down notes, and then gives us a work sheet to do," Camille said.

"Are any of you in honors classes, or do you take regular," Julia asked.

"We're all in regular classes so that we had a chance of being in a class together," Misty explained to Julia.

"Oh, well the honors teachers are good at teaching."

A few more minutes passed by of talking and planning and eating breakfast, "I'm ready to go," I said as I grabbed my bag and heard towards the door.

"I am too," Camille said, following my actions.

"Let's roll," Sky and Misty said, Julia following shortly behind them.

"You guys are in a hurry to get out today," Julia said as she unlocked her car.

"I'm kind of pumped for the battle, I can't wait for it to come," I said excitedly.

"You keep changing your mind about this," Camille said.

"I guess it just depends on the mood I'm in," I explained to everyone.

"Hey guys," Julia said, getting our attention, "we're here, make sure you guys go backstage after school today," she explained as she parked in the parking lot labeled student parking.

"Come on Olivia," Sky said as she grabbed my arm and pulled me with her.

"Why are you in such a rush to get to English," I asked as I caught my balance and caught up with her.

"I heard we have a sub today," she said excitedly.

"Oh," I said, unimpressed.

"You don't seem that excited," she said sadly.

"I don't like subs, they never know what to do, and the class always gets really chaotic and loud," I explained.

"You're not wrong," we continued on into the building and sat down in our seats in the classroom.

"How long until homecoming," I asked Sky.

"Like, three weeks or something like that," Sky said, uninterested about the topic, "honesty, I planned on going to the game, but not the actual dance."

"Yeah, at least at the game they have food," I said as Sky and I started to laugh.

"Will you two shut up," the girl sitting in front of us said.

"The bell hasn't even went off yet," Sky pointed out.

"I'm trying to listen," the girl in front of us turned around and we both noticed it was Piper, "oh great, I get the honor of moving to a sophomore class and it has to be with you two, where are the other two lame-o's at?"

"Wait, what grade are you in," I asked out of curiosity.

"Why should I tell you," she said as she started to form a ball of black magic in her hand. Sky and I watched it slowly grow and just before it could hit us, we went under the table.

"What does she think she's doing," Sky whispered to me, we were still under the table.

"Come on guys, don't be chickens," Piper said in a creepy voice.

We slowly came out from under the table and sat down as calmly as we could in our seats, I could tell that I was mad because of how much I was shaking, "keep your cool olivia," Sky said to me.

"No, don't keep your cool, let's have this battle right here right now," Piper said, making things worse.

"Piper," we looked over to the door and saw what looked like the girl that Julia used to hang out with, "I need to talk to you."

We watched Piper get up and she quickly ran to the girl, "should we follow them," Sky asked, I looked at the clock and realized we still had about twenty minutes left before school started.

"Yeah, but let's be sneaky," I said as we both got up and walked out the door, "where do you think they went," I asked quietly.

"Right there," Sky said as she pointed to two people walking into the nearest girls bathroom.

"Let's go," I said as I took the lead to the bathroom, once we got there we quietly walked in, making sure that they didn't see our faces, and then we both went into stalls right beside each other.

"I though I told you to not use your powers in public," Julia's friend said angrily, I assumed they must not have seen us walk in.

"Sorry master, I'm just ex-."

"No, don't talk more than you have to, I realize your just a weak, measly, freshman, but if you lose this, I lose humiliating Julia and I lose the chance to take this job away from Julia. I'm the one who deserves those powers, I'm the one who deserves to be the leader of the Elemental Heroes, do you understand how important it is to win this battle," Julia's friend nearly yelled at Piper.

"Yes master, I understand master."

"Good, now go back to that lame class and see if you can learn anything about mixing elements and how to destroy them, it took a lot of work and convincing to get you into that class," I heard Piper run out of the bathroom and continued to listen quietly to what Piper's teacher was saying. "You deserve greatness, you deserve everything you never had, money, parents, clothes, and most of all, magic. You are capable of doing this, you just have to prove that you're better than Julia in every way, let's start with," I heard her pause and heard her unzipping her bag, "clothes. Oh powerful, magic orb, I realize that I've asked so much from you and I keep asking for more, but."

"What is it now, you can only get so much out of me until I run out of power," I heard an echoey, male voice say.

"What the," I whispered to myself as quietly as I could.

"Just a few more things, then I shall put you back where I found you and return you for somebody else to find while you recharge your magnificent powers. Anyways, like I was saying, I would like the most expensive, eye catching, cute clothes in the school."

"As you wish," a few seconds of silence passed and then I heard Piper's teacher say.

"Thank you once again, you've never failed me," I heard her unzip and rezip her bag and then heard her walk out of the bathroom.

"Wow," I said as I walked out of the bathroom, Sky following shortly behind me.

"Looks like we have a lot more to discuss at today's practice than I thought we did," Sky said as we both walked off to our classroom.
