Tristan turned the key in the ignition and the truck revved up. He expertly maneuvered the truck past the car he was just working on and a few other cars. "By the way, if you were wondering, not all these cars are Amato's. He just stores some of the pack uses commonly in here.".

"Oh, I just thought he was super rich.".

"He is, but this is the only storage space for most pack members by the beach.", we started to roll down a steep driveway and I could see the ocean to the right. The house itself was painted a beige and flowers covered most of the front porch. The lawn itself was perfectly mowed and the landscaping was amazing.

"Who did the landscaping?".

"Amato and his mom. Now it's just him".

"Huh. Didn't really think of Amato as the gardening type.".

"Really? I can kind of see that, but he thinks gardening is manly or something. I myself just stick to the mowing and all the rock stuff. Did you know those rocks came from Minnesota?".

"Nope, I just discovered that this house has an outside, but that's pretty cool that those rocks came from the same place I did...". We were now turning onto a cracked black road that lead to the sand that, as I was assuming, was part of the beach. I was suddenly excited. Tristan looked over at me and picked up on the fact.

"So you've never been to the beach before?" he asked,"No vacation's with your parents or anything?".

"Nope, never had parents. Well, except for when I was born. They died in a car crash bringing me home. I've never felt too sad, because I've never met them before really.".

"Oh. That's hard. Where have you been living all this time then?".

"Well it's sorta complicated, but I started out in an orphanage and then I was taken in a foster home by my parents' friends. It wasn't too bad because I got to make friends with their daughter. She's the one who got me into dating my...¨ should I say my old husband? Was it really that?

"Husband.". There it was again. I'm not quite sure what to say. I mean I loved him and now? I don't really know. I've never heard about any evil thing going on with him and my life seemed like the perfect fairy tale when I loved him. The only off thing was the sudden and abrupt marriage. Why though?

Apparently Tristan could read my mind because what he said next was just what I was about to say. "So he never told you about him?".

"No, it was just like the flip of a coin. At one moment my life went none way and another, it was on a whole different track. I'm still not quite sure what to think about him. I mean, I was so close to marrying him and then I meet this strange man that I feel I've always known. It was almost like we belonged together. ".

"It makes sense though. The feelings I mean. You guys were kinda meant to be together. But the whole husband part, I'm not quite sure what to say about that. Maybe you should wait for Amato to explain it.".

"Yeah. I guess.", I didn't really know what to say.

"We're here.", I hadn't realized that we had driven along the beach and parked next to the back of a house.

"This is mine.". The modest, white beach house was perfect. There were some hanging decorations dotting the the house's interior. Cute little house plants were lined up along the outside and the white boards were slightly vintage and peeling. It reminded me of something in a movie.

"Cute, I like it!"I opened the door and got out onto the sandy driveway. I looked down the beach a bit more and saw a small amount of houses dotting the rest of the coast. "Do you guys all live on the beach?".
