Chapter 5: Kortopi

"WAKE UP, Y/N!" someone began banging on the door.
"Five more minutes..." I groaned. I guess they wouldn't take no for an answer.
"GET UP. IT'S TIME TO HANG OUT WITH SOMEONE NEW!" It was Uvogin.
So I hesitantly got up. Pakunoda happened to be gone. "Are you getting dressed?"
"Hmm." I hummed happily. Which I shouldn't be happy. I was kidnapped by a notorious gang.
Uvogin walked away from the door, leaving me in peace. 'at least I can make friends... I wonder who it is today.' I finished getting dressed and opened the door. The whole team was in the main room, casually speaking to each other. Feitan looked up from his conversation with Machi and waved to me. "Hey, Y/N. Sleep well?"
"Yeah." I managed a smile. Uvogin walked over to me and placed a bulky hand across my shoulders.
"Finally. You're hanging with Kortopi today. Keep him happy, Kay?" he winked and walked away, soon a small man replaced him.
I crouched down do my eyes were staring in his. Well, his eye. It looked like he only had one. If he had another, it was covered by his bluish hair. "Are you Kortopi?"
He only nodded. 'hmm...'
"What are we doing?" he asked me. His voice was high, but he sounded sweet.
I smiled a closed eye smile. "Hehe. I don't know. What do you want to do?"
He shrugged. "I guess hang and talk. Or..." he paused. "Or I can show you something important to me."
"Alright." this is going to be interesting.
I followed him outside to the back of the hideout.
He lead me to a tree. It looked old, but he told me that about give or six years ago he planted it's seed. "It's a young tree, yes. But it holds.many of.my memories. This is where me and Machi hung out. It is where Shalnark taught me about technology." He sounded happy and at peace with himself.
I smiled. "That's so sweet, Kortopi." I sat under the tree and he copied me.
"Now what?" he asked me. He was fidgeting with his hands.
"I don't know. What did you want to do?"
He shrugged. He was so cute. "I guess just talk."
"Play a board game?"
"Sure. We have plenty inside. We could take one our here and play it."
He stood up and ran inside. Moments later he returned with Uno is his hands. "Here. Machi handed me this one. I don't know how to play it, though."
Y/N smiled at the short man. "No worries. I know how to." after explaining the jist of the game, they began playing.
"Dammit." Kortopi frowned. But the girl couldn't see it. His hair was covering his face. "Not again. I only won twice."
He three his cards down and stood up to walk away. "Hey. Its okay." Y/N stood up and followed him back inside.
"I'm tired. See you tomorrow, Y/N-san." and Kortopi went to his room.
"Paku-san?" Y/N walled to the room she shared with Pakunoda, and the said woman was making her bed.
She turned quickly and smiled upon the girl. "Did you have fun?"
Y/N nodded her head and smiled. "But now I'm tired."
