"He's doing fine now, Miss Hopps. It had to do with a combination of alcohol and the medication they gave to him in the clinic. For all we know, this could've been an attempted suicide." The head doctor, a large female brown wolf explained to Judy, who was still in the waiting room after a full five hours. It felt like a giant crushing weight was lifted off of her chest. She shed a couple silent tears and thank every higher power she knew for that.

Judy pulled herself together to look back up at the wolf, asking a daunting question, "I don't understand, I didn't let Nick have any alcohol during the time I had him at my house." The wolf was instantly confused. She rubbed the back of her head in thought, finally managing to conjure some words. "Is it possible Mr. Wilde did any heavy drinking last night? If he still had a hangover, or any of that still in his system, it could have still an effect on him."

Just thought back to when he left ana blazing frenzy. Maybe he went to get in a drunken stupor to ease the edge off? Who knew until she asked.

"If he did do that, why wouldn't he tell me..." Judy questioned, thumping her foot. The two sat in question, and the bunny shook get head.

"I'll ask him when you all will let me see him I guess," Judy sighed, stretching out her tired back with distraught. She wasn't very happy with having to wait even longer.

It's too damn late to be waiting in a hospital like this. The bunny grumbled in her head, only to the Doctor to shake her head.

"Oh no miss Hopps, you can go see him now, he's in a stable condition. Just please refrain from exciting him in any way, shape, or form." The large female wolf informed her, showing her the way to his room. First one down the hall, right after the paneled push doors.

Judy held her hand to her heart seeing him with his side on the bed, turned away from her.

Nick hears the door push open, and his whole body rushed with adrenaline, he knew it was Judy. Oh no, his swatch of fake fur was on the night table, far to his right. His rip on the muzzle was fully exposed, showing thr skeleton of his upper jaw, gums, and entire teeth. Then there were the three stainless steel buttons drilled in it to attach to the faux fur, making for an ugly look to the seemingly starless fox.

Ugly, that words hurt, knowing without that swatch of fur he was ugly and nobody wanted to look at him.
Stupid doctors shouldn't have made me take it off! Nick quickly grew cynical, but there was no time, because he felt Judy hop on the bed right next to him.

Fuck me sideways, I'm screwed. The fox pounded in his skull, knowing she was going to get rid of him once she saw.

"Nick, are you awake?" The bunny asked tenderly, holding a paw to his shoulder. The fox buried his muzzle deep in his pillow, concealing the missing piece of his muzzle.

"Yeah, how are ya carrots?" His voice was muffled, and he fought to keep his face concealed until she left. Judy sighed, and answered back with a tender "I'm fine," noticing Nick's uncomfortable presence.

Judy looked down at him with pure pity, he was going through so much so quickly. First the diagnosis of his mild psychosis, then the blood and seizure all in one. She remembered her question, and taking some time to make it not break any nerves. She was just like that.

"Nick, please tell the truth, what did you do last night after you left my apartment?" Judy asked, concern warming her voice. Nick didn't answer. He kept his muzzle hidden in the pillow, clamped shut. Hiding his ugly face.

"Nick, please, please answer me." The bunny pleaded, gently shaking his shoulder. The fox quickly felt a fuse ignite, sending sparks off in his body. He held his paws over his head, stress and anxiety tearing his head to bloody ribbons.

"I went drinking okay?" He replied a little more aggressively than he should have, his voice cracking with obvious worry. Judy wasn't phased, she was determined to get an answer.

"Why didn't you tell us that when you were at the clinic, and the doctor specifically asked if you had taken any other medication or alcohol before, why didn't you say anything?" The bunny persisted, her voice growing a hardness to its own. Nick didn't know how to respond, he was just horrified to reveal his face to her.

"I don't know, why are you still asking?" The red fox quickly scrambled for words, now trembling with showing the atrocity of his muzzle. Judy snarled with frustration, hitting his back.

"Show your face to me damnit, I'm trying to talk to you, what are you, afraid of me?!" The Rabbit shouted, furious with the fox's casual reaction. That wasn't the case with Nick, she just touched a short nerve. He was going to explode.

Whipping the rabbit from behind him, he snarled his deep black lips back, revealing the scary, razor fangs in his snout, like a damn bear trap.

She held her breath and went pale seeing the huge missing piece of fur and flesh missing from his muzzle, and lips. It was like someone had ripped off nearly all the top of his muzzle. It was just his skeleton exposed to her, and she grew pale as a ghost.

"THIS IS THE REASON WHY!" Nick Wilde shrieked, pointing to his face with raw fury. "I'm not that nice looking of a guy anymore huh? Those stupid fucking prey that strapped a muzzle on me and stripped me of my pride," He stopped to only emphasis his rage, once again pointing to his exposed skeleton once more, "Also took a piece of my fucking face!"

Judy looked mortified, she only had buggy eyes and a straight face that convulsed with quivers. Nick continued with his blazing roars, "You wanna know why I have breathing problems too, huh?!" Judy didn't respond, only swallowed a load of horror in her throat.

Nick ripped open his hospital gown, showing a giant scar across his chest, red ugly scar tissue free of fur.

"Those bastards deflated my left lung! He cut through my chest and almost killed me!" The fox grazed his claws across his lean chest, throwing the ugly scar in her face. Judy was gripped with his raw emotion. He didn't seem mad it seemed more like...

Self pity, he was loathing his problems and everything had started to jump out at him like a wooden plank with razors forced in.

"I drunk myself to a stupor cause everything in my life seems to hate me for what I did and used to be! Even YOU think that, right?" Nick ripped out of his vocal chords, with the climax of all his fury. Then his expression softened. His ears fell against his head, and tears filled his eyes.

"Even you think that..." He repeated, with a voice that made Judy's heart fall out of her body. He sat beside her, shirt torn open, softly laughing and crying at the same time. He wanted her comfort, but felt like everything and everyone hated him, even the one person he ever opened up to. Judy.

"Do you hate me Judy?" He tilted his head over to her, a few more tears streaming from his green eyes. His breathing had grown noticeably soft.

Judy froze, and knew what to say instantly.
