First Doctor's Appointment

Luke: Luke looked down at his hands in his lap as you sat next to him filling out the paper work. Luke was nervous, mostly about what people would think of the two of you. You were young and you weren't technically a thing. Luke's legs bounced around as he looked around the waiting room. "Hey, calm down." You said placing a hand on his thigh. He nodded. "Y/N." The nurse called. You stood up and handed her the clipboard of papers. Luke followed closely behind you and she led you into a room. "Basically since this is your first appointment were going to do the physical exam part and then we'll bring you into my office so we can talk about the other parts." You nodded. She took your weight and blood pressure and asked you a few questions about your family history. "Okay so now we're going to do the ultrasound and if the baby is visible, we'll be able to hear the heart beat." You layed down on the table and she lifted up your shirt, a small but noticeable bump existed. "This might be a little cold." She said squirting some gel onto your stomach. She took the ultrasound wand and moved it around. "Can you see? It's really small, but there definitely is a baby in there!" She pointed out. A smile appeared across your face as you saw the little baby. You looked up only to see Luke's eyes focused on the screen. "Now we'll be able to hear the heartbeat." A little sound echoed through the room. "That's your baby!" She exclaimed. "I'll give you a minute and then you can come meet me in my office which is right down the hall." She said exiting the room. You sat up from the bed and looked at Luke "That was crazy." You said. "We really did make something out of that night didn't we." He smiled. "Do you think she's going to say anything to us about our age?" He asked. "Luke! Don't worry about it." You said again. The two of you walked into her office and sat in the chairs across from her. She had paperwork containing different topics about pregnancy. "So you're little baby is due on July 17. A perfect summer baby." She said. "Hey that's a day after mine!" Luke said.  "Here is a list of the foods that you should avoid during pregnancy along with any drugs or alcohol. If you have any questions feel free to call me. I'll always be here. We're going to want to see you in a few weeks so before you leave make sure you set up a future appointment that works for you." She said. "Thank you so much." You said. You stood up with Luke and made your way out to the main lobby to set up an appointment. "I'll see you later Mr. and Mrs. Hemmings!" She yelled.

Ashton: Ashton had been prepared for this doctor's appointment since the moment you found out you were expecting. It was a time where you could go to the doctors with happy news rather than all the times you went there to see what was wrong. "I can't wait! I've been reading things online about what they do. We might even get to see the baby!" He said. "Me too, I'm glad we can finally go there with good news." You said. You sat in the waiting room filling out your information on the form they gave you. "Y/N, Ashton! It's so good to see you!" The nurse called out. It was the same nurse that you've had throughout this entire journey and you were excited that she would be there through the pregnancy. "Everyone was talking about you two, we're all so happy. When I found out I knew I had be your nurse." She said as you walked into the room in the back. You layed down on the bed and she lifted up your shirt. "I'm sorry, this might be a little cold." She said. She put the ultrasound wand on your stomach and your eyes lit up as you saw the little blob on the screen. "That's your baby!" She said. Ashton's grip on your hand tightened as the two of you sat in awe at the sight of your baby. "I'm so happy for you guys." The nurse said. "I'll meet you two in my office." She said walking out of the room. You pulled down your shirt and jumped into Ashton's arms. You walked into the office and sat down across from the nurse. "Your baby is due June 1st, so you'll have time to prepare. Obviously there are some things you want to avoid including drugs, alcohol, and here is a list of foods to avoid as well. We're going to want to see you in three weeks so make sure before you leave you schedule one." "Thank you so much!" You said.

Michael: "Y/N wake up" Michael said shaking you awake. "We're going to be late for our appointment." He said. You pulled down the covers and slowly made your way out of bed. You threw on an outfit and made your way to the doctors. The receptionist handed you a bunch of papers that you had to fill out before going in the back. "Y/N" the nurse called walking into the room. You stood up and followed the nurse into the back. "So before we do anything we're going to need some blood work, is that okay?" She asked. You nodded. Even though you hated needles it was something that needed to be done. You sat in the chair with your arm up. "You're just going to feel a little pinch." She said. You looked over her shoulder to Michael who was leaning against the wall with his arms crossed making faces to distract you from the needle. After taking the blood work, you followed her into the room and layed down on the table. She took your blood pressure and lifted your shirt squirting the gel for the ultrasound. "Do you see that white thing on the screen?" She pointed out. "That's your baby!" She said. "Since you're only about 6 weeks in the baby is about the size of a little bean. However it still is beginning to develop its little arms and legs." She said. "Haha a beanie baby." Michael added earning a laugh from your nurse. "Before you go, there are some things I want to let you know. Here is a pamphlet containing some of the foods that you should try to stay clear of while pregnant. You're going to begin to feel moody and have a heightened sense of smell." She said. "Great.." Michael chuckled. "If there's anything you need, just let me know, and I'll be right there to help. Before you go make sure you set up an appointment for next time."  "Thank you so much!" You said before exiting the room.

Calum: "Y/N.." Calum called out. "Yes?" You said peeking into the bedroom. "My mom really wants to come today." He said. "She's not going to be in town for very much longer and really wants to see the baby." He said giving you the puppy dog eyes. "Of course she can come!" You said going back into the bathroom to finish your hair. When you arrived at the doctors his mom was already waiting there. You sat in the waiting room filling out the paper work they gave you. "I can't believe my baby is having a baby!" She said. "Mom, I'm not a baby anymore." He blushed. You handed the lady the paperwork and waited for the nurse to come out and get you. "Y/N" she called and you stood up following her to the back. "I see that today is your first appointment." She said. "Yes it is." You replied. "Congratulations on the pregnancy, it truly is a miracle." She said. When you entered the room you sat on the bed, Joy sitting in the two seats in the room and Calum standing next to you. She ran a few tests and left the room to get the ultrasound equipment.  When she returned, she lifted your shirt and put the gel on your stomach. Before you knew it, you're little baby was on the screen. You looked around at Joy who was smiling ear to ear looking at the screen, Calum's eyes were also locked on the screen. "What do we have here?" The nurse said snapping you out of your daydream. "It looks like you are having twins!" She said. "Twins?!" You said. "Yes see here is baby A and baby B. "Double the grand-babies!" His mom yelled. "Because you are pregnant with twins this does put this as a high risk pregnancy, so we are going to have to keep a closer eye on you by having you visit more often.  Be sure to let the receptionist know on your way out so she can schedule you an appointment." She said handing you pictures from the ultrasound. You looked down at the clearly marked A and B on the page. The three of you walked out to the car and you tore off one of the pictures. "Here Joy, I want you to have one of these." You said handing her a picture. "I love you guys so much." She said pulling the two of you into a hug. "And I love my little babies too!" She said putting a hand on your stomach.
