The Beginning Of The End.

Ashley's P.O.V

We ran and ran until Melissa got tired "Ash i'm tired of running can we just walk, please?" Melissa wined at Ashley, "Yeah the hospital is just around the cor-" Ashley stopped at a grusome sight. The hospital was right infront of them and it was crawling with well..... Zombies half eaten half shotoff, zombies, We weren't going there *Obviously* "OMG Are they the monsters that were going after the others?" Melissa asked curiously, "Yes and we need to get out of here before they notice us and more come" I said, "The bush will be safe" Said Anthony very quickly, as he was scared also. So we headed toward the countryside and walked for about 4 hours straight until we thought it was safe "I'm sooo tired" Said Melissa in a groan "I know i am too" i said "Ash?" asked Melissa "Yes Liss?" i replied "What just happened to us, whats going on?"Liss asked anxiously "I dont know but we don't wanna hang around here we need to head into the bush maybe we'll find other people" i said in a calm and hopeful nature "it's very scary, but atleast we have Anthony" she said as she smiled and hugged him. "Yeah lets just find a house that will be safe and rest for the night we don't wanna risk being like the walking dead" Anthony said trying to be helpful "Maybe thats whats happened sis maybe the apocolypse is umong us" said Melissa "I hope not" i said.

We awoke to screams in the bush, "AHHHH HELP US PLEASSSE" "What was that???" i said "i have no idea" Said Anthony, we jumped up and raced outside to find a mointain of the undead trying to get in a tree, Melissa awoke and screamed at the sight, which of course attracted the zombies

and we ran, but others ran too and unfortunetly for us the undead are sumwhat faster and more powerful then us beings. As we were running Melissa fell behind and i was encouraging her to hurry up and that she would make it. As we were running we heard a scream, Melissa had been taken down by a sprinter, we rushed over to her and stabbed the sprinter in the back of the skull with our survival knife, as it dropped to the floor i picked her up but we were too late, we were surrounded by walkers and crawlers, we thought it was the end, we would become the undead and eat the flesh off of our fellow folk, but what we didn't know at the time is that someone was studying us from above, as the crawlers got close we started to knife them and we defeated the crawlers but there was much worse things coming face first at us, the walkers, Anthony and i grabbed Mell and put her inbetween us and we grabbed our guns from the seacret pocket that we were hiding from Melissa, we shot a few but it was just going straight through them. They were enclosing us as we realised this was it we were finished, we hugged and kissed each other and said our goodbyes, Until, She appeared, as slick as a ninja and as fast as a jet sawing through the sky, she jumped down and slaughtered the beastily things that were already planning their way through us. She jumped down and cut the head off of every single one. She eyed us up and down and finally she spoke, "why are you out here??,are you crazy?,you have a child why would you be so stupid and go into "the circle??" "The circle?" "yes the circle, where we eye down and shoot the Nasties" "The nasties??" "Yes thats what we call them where i live, in the vally." she said with an annoyed look on her face. "Hi, i am Melissa but you can call me Mell,Liss or Lissa i don't mind." Lissa said with a grin. "Im Ezmarelda but you can call me Ez, Erin or just Ezmarelda." she said also with a grin "Hi im anthony, and this is my girlfriend Ashley, Melissa's big sister" "Hi" i said, "We need to go" she said as she palmed off my handshake, "We need to go south of here and pick some food and hunt" hunt??, what did she mean?. We sat crouched down watching Erin demolish a group of crawlers, "She's amazing!!" exclaimed Melissa, "I know" i said. She came over and showed Lissa how to draw a gun and aim and shoot also how to run a knife into a zombie head, which i found pretty gruesome at the time, but now im used to it, we got a crossbow each apart from melissa, she got a handgun, which suited her perfectly. We found a group of rabbits and thought it was a perfect oppourtunity for food. We studied them and aimed, then, we, FIRED, we got them all, and as we were chopping them up to cook we realised that the flesh was brown and blue and that the eyes were a faded grey, they all had weird stuff in their stomach's "This is where it all started, the rabbits ate something and the humans ate the rabbits and spreaded around, o m g" I pushed the rabbits away and Melissa started to say she was sore on her leg, i pulled her trousers up and there it was, it was all swelled up and rotting, Melissa had gotten bitten by a crawler.

"We can't bring her with us into the country, She'll murder us." Said Ezmarelda "We can't let her die, can we atleast chop it off?" I said trying to reason with Ezmarelda to not kill my sister, "no she needs to die, we can't let her walk around with one leg, she will slow us down and we will die, we can't just let her go, we will die, we HAVE to kill her" Said Erin "No, who asked you to help anyway... she is just a child!?" I said in Erins crazyness "And this is just the end of the world, the apocolypse, and we cant palm that off either, cmon we have to go" said Erin "No i will not leave her to die, i love her she means the world to me and i will stay by her side every step of the way" i said "Fine then, cmon Anthony, lets go survive like we want to," said Erin " Excuse me?? i love these two girls im not going to leave them, not until nature takes us apart." Said Anthony "Fine its your loss, i mean i have curves, i have food, i have weapons and i have three houses....... its your loss, but the offer still stands" Said Erin "No thankyou" said Anthony, i smiled, proud of my man standing up for himself. "Lets just go" i said as we hurried off into the bush, leaving Erin behind. "Ash??" said Melissa "Yes, Mell?" I replied "Am I going to die??" She asked in a frightened tone, "Not if i can help it." I said.We ran until it was dark, not stopping until we reached either,Other people or a shelter. It mentioned on the news that if you are infected go to a hospital. I though we should take Melissa to the hospital and get her looked at. As we were walking we saw a enormous wall, and we instantly knew that it was a hospital, Melissa got excited and we saw a car zoom past us as we made our way to the hospital. we stopped to watch. a man jumped out of the car and ran too the passanger seat where he then pulled out a little girl, similar to Melissa, we then realise that her foot and leg had been ripped apart and you would be able to see the bone, if you were there, her body was lifeless, her skin going grey,blue and a yellowish green colour, we hear Melissa gasp as she realises that it is her best friend lying there, in a body that is no longer hers with chunks out her legs, her hands and we even see that her ear was taken off, Melissa was petrified. "What the fuck happened here??" i said in an uncomfortable tone "I dont know but it looks alot worse then what we saw back in Caboolture" Said Anthony also in an uncomfortable tone of voice. "WHY HER SHE DIDNT DESERVE THISSS" Melissa yelped as she broke down. I could see the tears forming in Anthony's face as he noticed three zombies walking towards the wall, "Whats wrong love?" i asked "No, it cant be, its not them, their still out there."Anthony said as he kneeled down and put his head into his hands "Who?, What?" I said confused, "Mum, Dad, Elizabeth." It was his family, he had a fight with them and Lizzy (Elizabeth) tried to help, he pushed her away, he was at my house because they had kicked him out. We could see the gashes in their throats and backs. I wouldnt be able to focus if Anthony left me.

Its been atleast 3-4 weeks since our last encounter with a Zombie,thing, and Lissa's still got the bite on her leg, usually people have turned by now, but she hasnt, i have no idea whats going on but we need to figure out what we are going to do, before she turns, but im starting to think and hope that, maybe she wont??? i dont know, but i am really hoping we know what to do when the time comes for us to, stitch or ditch, and honestly i wanna help her, but i dont think i can...... its eating me alive, knowing that she might. "We need to look for food, you two need it your so skinny!" Said Anthony in a sweet but stern voice "Yes bub, we will go looking today, i mean we havent seen any, yet, maybe we will get lucky?"I said "Why dont you just kill me??,it will make me in a better place Ash, a happier place, im in pain, and it isnt very nice, its time for you to let me go Ashley im prepared for death, but im not prepares to eat you and Anthony, i refuse!" Said Melissa "WHAT?,NO you cant leave me, no (i start crying and weeping) you cant leave me like this, you cant

leave me now!!" i screamed "Sis its okay i wont be in any pain you would be helping me, putting me out of this missery" Said Melissa as she started to cry also, "What do you mean kill you??,Lissa you mean so much to us, we would be lost without you hunny" Anthony said as he hugged us both.

"Time for me to go, I love you so much!!" She grabbed it and put it in her mouth pointing the roof of her mouth, she put her finger on the trigger, she started to cry, i see her about to and i pounce for it. "NOOOOOOO DONT LEAVE ME!!!!!!!" *BANG*

Omg i cried whilst writing this.... let me know if you cried.... also sorry for the short chapters, im trying so hard to think of things and my brain is gonna explode..

what will happen to Melissa:

Did Ashley save her?? Or Did she shoot herself?? Or Did she shoot Anthony??

Surely the zombies heard the gunshot.......
