Memory Lane

"Because this is the place where you and I, confess to each other when we were little."

Hearing those words, Dara was speechless. She and Baekhyun confessed to each other before.

"I see..." Baekhyun hum. "You still don't remember that. But that's okay. We can make new memories."

Dara look down, feeling disappointed of herself for forgetting such things. "I'm sorry. I'll try my best to remember the things that I forgot."

Baekhyun look at his wife who's face is sad. He cupped Dara's face up and looks at her lovingly. "Baby, it doesn't matter if you don't remember. Like I said, we can still make new memories. Each time that you'll forget, we'll make new ones. No need to feel bad about it."

"But~"

"Shhh...There's nothing good in the word but. Come on, I'll show you something."

Dara and Baekhyun walk towards an old big tree. Curious as why Baekhyun brings her there at the tree but chose to stay quiet. Maybe this tree means something to us.

"You see this big old tree here..." Baekhyun points at the tree. "...it is the only witness of our confession."

"Really? Wow! It's huge."

Baekhyun smile. "It is. Come, let's lay down on the grass."

The couple lay down on the grass. They both look at the starry sky, enjoying the wonderful bliss they both feel.

"You know, when you dragged me here 9 years ago. I was really confused. I don't know why we have to run all the way here, leaving all our friends behind. But then, you told me that you love me."

Dara turn her head and look at Baekhyun. "Really? I told you that?"

"Yes, you did."

Flashback~

"Dara, why are we here?" The 10 years old Baekhyun asked while looking at the big old tree.

"It's because I have something important to tell you." Dara said while fidgeting the hem of her shirt.

Baekhyun look at Dara with curiosity. Dara sure looks very nervous. "Are you alright? You look nervous."

Dara shook her head, still avoiding looking at Baekhyun. "I'm alright. Don't worry."

"Okay. So, what is it that you want to tell me?"

"Well...uhm...." Dara starts playing with her fingers, a mannerism whenever she's nervous.

"You're nervous." Baekhyun said and took Dara's hand into his, and give it a little massage hoping to ease a bit of Dara's nervousness. "Whatever you're about to tell me, must be very serious that it's making you nervous. Whatever it is, don't worry. Things will definitely be alright."
