Breaking Apart

Chapter 5

"I can't believe this!" Lolly growled as she punched a tree. Preston was beside her punching another one. He hummed in agreement as he broke the last block of wood. He then took it over to a crafting bench and worked it into planks to start the shelter. Once he did that he started to build a large room, nothing fancy just something to sleep and work in. "It's been so long since we were at this stage," he stated as he built. "Tell me about it, I can't even remember my first shack," Lolly exclaimed while working her wood blocks into planks. As Lolly placed the last block they heard something behind them. They both turned around and looked at the creature. "Holly Shit!" Preston yelled backing away from a confused ocelot. "What's wrong Preston?" Lolly asked while walking to him. All of a sudden he cried out in pain as his image started flashing. He started hissing and Lolly backed away just in time. Preston blew up like a normal creeper would and destroyed a wall of the shelter. "Preston!" Lolly yelled fearing for his life. "I'm ok?" he said, asking himself more than confirming it. Lolly ran up and gave him a hug and he hugged back. "Oh right, creepers are afraid of cats," he mumbled while looking around for the cat that had run off already. Lolly chuckled but then looked at him seriously. "C'mon, lets undo this mess you've caused," she said while pulling out of the hug with a smile.

"What is going on?" Rob questioned himself. Ky shrugged in an answer as she dug up the floor of their beach side shack. "Watcha doin'?" Rob asked looking confusingly at her. "I am digging down so we can make another underground room," she said while pausing to wipe sweat from her brow. "Ok and you want more planks?" he asked. "Yes please," she said while continuing her work. Rob chuckled then went outside to find some logs. As Rob spotted a tree he could feel something hot in his throat. He hiccuped and felt tears come out of his eyes before he spat a huge fire ball, totally inialating the tree infront of him. He froze and heard footsteps run up behind him. "Robby? W-what happened?" Ky asked, a slight waver of fear in her voice. "I'm a ghast hybrid... Thing. Remember?" he said bluntly. Ky hugged him from behind then mumbled," maybe I should get the logs and you go into the water to cool off?" Rob smiled and nodded before running to the beach. Ky smiled and went up to another tree before hearing a tremendously loud and silence piercing shriek. She quickly sprinted to it's origin. She was meet with the sand and found it difficult to run. She looked up and saw Rob walking towards her. "Heh, heh, I'm a nether mob," he said with a shy smile and Ky peeked him on the cheek.

Em sighed as she found another patch of dirt to dig. She got it with her hands as there weren't any trees on the mountain. Their wings weren't big enough to fly yet. She took her finds back to the dirt shack they were making. For some reason they had found one stump which equaled one log. They could make a bed after finding several sheep but they had to share. Lachy kept an eye on Em as she jumped a little way down the mountain. He started crafting the single bed and wiped sweat off his brow. He knew that if they tried to get off the mountain it would end in death, well maybe not for him,  and the shadow thing would have taken their respawning abilities away. He was startled as an orange light lit up the shack. He looked outside and saw it was coming from the place that Em jumped down. He quickly ran over, flapping his wings slightly to give him more momentum. He looked over the edge and saw Em... On fire! He jumped down. "EM?! A-are you ok?" he asked, hesitating when he saw that she was not in pain. "Um... Yeah?" She stated, uncertainly, as she patted the fire off. "H-how?" Lachy asked, dumbfounded. "Fiiiiiiirrrrrre Dragon!" Em yelled, shattering the peace, her voice echoing. Lachy laughed  and pulled her into a hug. "How are we going to get back up?" Em asked looking up and forgetting that in was a three block jump down. "Like this," Lachy said while grabbing her and lifting her into the sky. "Whoa," Em said as they flew. "I'm waiting for your wings now cause I can't carry you for long. Em smiled and hugged him tighter as he landed.

Vikk was worried about Goldy. She tired herself out again while trying to work to get over the fact that she was changing. He watched as she worked to gather wood from a tall dark oak. They had already built a massive, fancy house just because Goldy needed something to do. He kept hearing her mutter about building a stable and getting horses. He sighed and walked up to her. He was confused as he placed a hand on her shoulder. She bellowed like and bull and swung around quickly. There were really sharp horns on her head and she looked like she was about to skew Vikk. He stepped back in fear. "Goldy! What are you doing?" he yelled. He body relaxed and her stance faded. "Heh, Minotaurs act like fricken' bulls," she said just loud enough for Vikk to hear. Vikk smiled sympathetically. He walked over to her a patted her back. He tilted her head up and kissed her. When they pulled away he said," we will get through this. We'll find the others and take back our kingdom." She smiled. "Well, I believe you, but can we still build stuff? Because all this tree punching is managing my anger," she said. "Heh, tell you what. We can build a stable but tomorrow let's get our bearings by climbing a tree, or something, then prepare for the journey home," Vikk said, his eyes lighting up as Goldy jumped up and down screaming yes!

"I can't believe that shadow wiped all our items except the five logs I had," Reece said as he sat in the little shelter they had mining out of the stone wall. "Yeah, a stroke of luck," Emerald said bluntly from her position on Reece's lap. She was fiddling with the small nubs that had grown into small tentacles. "Reece! Come with me to the water fall?" she asked, well commanded. Reece laughed and stood up, making Emerald fall to the floor. "Heeeeeeeeeeee~," she protested, her voice cracking and going derpy. She covered her mouth in shock. "I-is it g-gone?" she asked Reece in her normal voice. "'Yes," he smiled. He picked her up and ran to were they had found a small waterfall. They hadn't dared to go past it yet as they were only getting used to everything. "We have to make a move to escape soon," Reece said. "Yeah," Emerald agree before getting thrown into the water.
