12th February

It was like a thunder from a bright blue clear sky, when the Commander served the information of a new murder to Grisha.
The man's brain worked hard enough to even bite onto the news. He was nowhere near of finding the killer of the first case, and now - a second one.

For fuck's sake. He though irritated. Why are there so many sick people these days?

Who knows? Maybe we were the sick individuals..?

Grisha Jaeger rose from the cozy seat with an exhausted sigh. Yes, he was tired indeed. After all, being the best detective in whole North Yorkshire and having an impossible to unravel case on your shoulders can really offend your pride. More over, it was annoying. Having no clues and nothing at all to begin with could be really infuriating. To the point where you want to cut someone's head and blame all the murders to him.

Detective Jaeger needed strong coffee and files of the second, put on his head case. What a bad day he was having.
But actually if you think better, how did the dead people feel when their lives were brutally taken? With a good reason or not.

A little boy pouted at his mother as he found out that his not so close friend was gone.
"It's not fair."
"Neither is life."

Things like unfair homicide were happening everyday. With an explanation or with a missing one..  With your agreement or not. It was unavoidable. Like destiny. You can change the day, but sooner or later, it will come to you anyway.

And that was exactly what the man's thoughts were as he stepped foot into the marked house.

The first impression to come to him was: It's worse than last time.

Then his piercing silver eyes noticed the chains, all the blood - on walls, on doors, floors, lamps etc. He noted in his head: The victims were tortured.

Walking around the premises and checking all of the rooms, he ran across something, that was going to be his first trace. Again - an inscription.

"𝓘 𝔱𝔥𝔦𝔫𝑘 𝔱𝔥𝔞𝔱 𝔭𝔞𝔦𝔫 𝔦𝔰 𝔱𝔥𝔢 𝔪𝔬𝔰𝔱 𝔢𝔣𝔣𝔢𝔠𝔱𝔦𝔳𝔢 𝔪𝔢𝔞𝔫𝔰 𝔬𝔣 𝔡𝔦𝔰𝔠𝔦𝔭𝔩𝔦𝔫𝔢

"𝓘 𝔱𝔥𝔦𝔫𝑘 𝔱𝔥𝔞𝔱 𝔭𝔞𝔦𝔫 𝔦𝔰 𝔱𝔥𝔢 𝔪𝔬𝔰𝔱 𝔢𝔣𝔣𝔢𝔠𝔱𝔦𝔳𝔢 𝔪𝔢𝔞𝔫𝔰 𝔬𝔣 𝔡𝔦𝔰𝔠𝔦𝔭𝔩𝔦𝔫𝔢." Really? So you think, whoever you are, that torturing people is the best way to make them act the way you wish? Who are you to tell that? A mere fucking person just like everyone else.

Grisha was getting mad. The more he stared at the bloody words, the more his anger was increasing. He was wondering how could people like that monster exist.

Yet, there could be a reason, which couldn't reach his brain. Probably.
Because to commit such a terrible crime and get away with it without a single fingerprint left was a thing that either really smart murderer could invent, or someone absolutely mad.

In both ways, Jaeger could not deny that whoever the lunatic was, they did good job at covering any clues.
At the same time, Grisha couldn't say he wasn't shocked at how merciless this crazed person was to the victims. Almost to the point, he dared to call them inhuman.

Two hours later, Grisha Jaeger was driving back home with a horrible headache and tempting need to vomit.
Here are the things he could make out from his experience and facts: A mother with two little kids. The one - a boy around ten years old, blue eyes and dark hair. The other - a little baby girl, probably around two years old, green eyes and white like snow skin. Their mother was first to experience the pain of being cut on wrists, legs and neck (not to deep to kill her) and stabbed on several places around her back (also not too deep). All of this slow, painful torture whereas being chained to a chair in the living room. Her kids were there to see their mother suffer, before it was their time.

They killed them both (stabbed, heads cut open) before their dying mother's eyes. And with that they left, leaving the woman in brutal pain till the end of her life.

No more details spoken.

Jaeger was tired enough of his job, so he found himself awfully happy as he entered the house.
The first thing to do was to walk into the kitchen and make dinner, though it was passing 11pm.
After washing the dishes and turning the lights off, he climbed up the stairs and opened Eren's door, impatiently wanting to see him.

Only to find his son gone.
