"Mom are you home!","I'm in here what do you want?" Jaden walked into the living room to talk to his mom,"Hey do you mind if Carson comes over again for the night?","Doesn't matter to me he can come anytime." Answered his mom.
At that time Jaden sent Carson a text letting him know that he could come over. So Carson then came to Jaden's house out in the country after lunch.
"Hey, come on in what do you want to do?" Jaden asked Carson. "Why don't we go out to the barn and start up the dirt bikes?" Carson answered. "Sounds like a plan."
Jaden and Carson went out to the barn where Jaden in the winter shoveled coal into the furnace that heated there home. It took a few kicks for Carson's old bike to start up and idol steadily while Jaden's new bike took only a couple. "You want to head over to the railway tracks and go to the stream under the bridge?" Asked Carson. "Yeah man maybe it rose since the last time we were there."
So Jaden and Carson put there bikes in gear and drove over to there hideout under the railway bridge that went over the stream. It took only a few minutes and they were there. They went off of there bikes and climbed down to where they could stand beside the stream and talk about anything.
"Hey Jaden did you hear that noise that came from the bush?" Asked Carson. "Haha what are you talking about?" "There it was again I swear I'm not just hearing things man!" Carson said with excitement. "Man you're scaring me, what exactly are you hearing?" Asked Jaden. "I don't know man but I kind of want to get out of here." Carson and Jaden were curious to find out what the noise was but they were also frightened to see what it was. Carson and Jaden climbed back up onto the railway tracks to where they left there bikes and sat on them when they heard the noise again but it sounded closer. "Okay man I'm scared let's just leave" said Carson with a stutter. The noice was raspy and sounded like a yell coming from a person. "I can't start this stupid bike!" Carson said with frustration. "Hurry up man the noise is getting closer!" Said Jaden. Carson then started his bike but when he tried to go into gear he stalled his bike and at that time they could hear branches snapping and even more of the raspy yell which was getting even louder. "What is that!" Jaden yelled. "Hop on the back of my bike!" Jaden commanded Carson. So they road away on Jaden's bike and by then they could see deathly looking bodies stumbling towards them at a fast walk. Jaden and Carson were in shock and didn't want to believe what they had seen in that bush. "No this isn't possible, what is happening, we need to go tell my mom." Said Jaden. So they went inside to the living room and told Jaden's mom, "there's dead people out there mom!" Yelled Jaden. "What are you talking about?" Said Jaden's mom. "Come outside right now! I have no idea what's happening." Said Jaden still in shock with Carson standing behind him trying to make out what was going on. Jaden's mom went and looked and the dead like bodies were all along the rail road tracks and even blocking the lane that leads to the road. "Who are those people?" Asked Jaden's mom. "They aren't people mom, those people aren't alive!" Yelled Jaden. Carson went to lock all of the doors and Jaden grabbed all of the fire arms he could find, his Dad was in the semi and couldn't help them. Jaden found two Winchester rifles, one 22, and a 30X30, and a 45 colt that his Dad had inherited from his Dad. Jaden also had his crossbow and a machete which Carson used. Jaden used his crossbow and kept the 45 in the gun belt that came with the gun around his waist. Carson used the 30X30 and kept the machete at arm's reach on his back. Jaden's mom had the 22 with the long scope on it and she stayed inside. Jaden and Carson went outside and shot as many of the living dead from a distance as they could in the head. They had killed most of the heard until they got too close and they had to start close combat which was risky. Jaden used his revolver and shot them one by one and wiped most of them out, even with little experience they seemed to be executing with a mind like an experienced killer. Carson finished off his ammunition and finished the last couple off with the machete striking the head from the top and then from the side for the last one. The now fully dead bodies lay scattered on there freshly cut green yard. They both fell to the ground and lay there exhausted and shocked with no idea what to think or say. Jaden's mom ran outside, "I tried phoning the police but they didn't answer, and I tried Dad but he didn't answer, and I tried watching the news and listening to the radio but nothing is working!" Jaden's mom panicked. They all went to check out what the bodies looked like, the skin was cracked and pale turning grey. There was little hair on its scalp and no longer grew, its clothes were ripped from bush walking and it's eyes had no colour. They all went inside to reload there guns. Carson, Jaden and his mom were sitting by the table, "Boys, I have to go into town and see what's going on." Said Jaden's Mom. "We'll come with you." Said Jaden. "No, I need you two to stay and make sure those things down get on our land." Demanded his Mom. Jaden's mom drove away in the pick up while Jaden and Carson stood at the driveway watching her drive away. "What now?" Carson asked Jaden. "I guess we just walk around and scout the place." Answered Jaden. Jaden and Carson walked the perimeter of Jaden's land that the house was on. "I need my bike back." Said Carson breaking the silence. "You're crazy if you actually want to go back there, they could surround us!" Said Jaden. "Well I can't just ride on the back of yours, I need my own." Stated Carson.
