Your hope is gone
And so is mine

Her elder brother had come back to town to visit his beloved family.  Yes, of course she was happy. Although that wasn't the only case. Because unlike he usually did, he had a company this time.

It was- a beautiful looking woman by his side- that he refused to let away from his sight.

As if she was his prized possession.

She watched her brother intently, with those very same curious eyes of her's. His smile had a new charm to it. His face was radiant and glowing with an emotion unknown to her.

She examined how he flashed grins, every now and then, at people who rose their eyebrow questioningly at the woman around whose waist was his hand wrapped. They seemed to have shared the same grin when he told them what she was to him.

He had kept rambling on about how he loved her. About what she meant to him. About how well he knew her.

But in reality though, he didn't knew the woman at all.

Because you can't really know someone, no matter how close the person be to you. The only one you truly know is yourself.

Like she wanted her brother to pronounce what he had said to the people personally, she had asked him about the woman in private.

He had said, "Life. She's my life. "

What a shame! She thinks now as she begin to remember yet another form given to life.

And how utterly foolish!

Because if she was his life, then her brother should have been long since dead.

Because if she really was his life then he wouldn't have been married to some other woman whom he never visited home along with.

Because, when you part away with life, you are supposed to die right?

Foolish. Indeed!
