Where the sky meets the sea
The waves meet the shore
An eye meets an eye.
-People pushed past her as she made her way out of the crowded street in to a dark alley way. Things had been rough on her recently and she was struggling with inner conflicts. Her thoughts seemed to be scattered every where and she couldn't collect them in a place to sort them out.
The street she crossed was now empty. The snow fell graciously covering the earth in pure white. The air went cold and she struggled with breath. The chill was nerve-wracking. She wrapped the black coat around her tighter in an attempt to provide some warmth. But to no avail.
For a moment there, everything froze.
There seemed to be white walls surrounding her choking the air out of her lungs.
When her adrenaline realized her consciousness was giving up, it pushed and jerked her forward out in to an open road where she met with the ocean.
Her panting was so hard, her heart was drumming faster against her ribcage. Nonetheless, she kept walking. Towards the ocean.
Ocean?
Why was there an ocean in a place like this?
The sky was grey with no life hovering over. The waves were rushing towards the shore. But they weren't violent. The surrounding was deserted, it seemed almost peaceful to the eyes and the soul. Except for the ocean that held the same murderous and rusty aura.
She wasn't sure.
She had no idea how she reached there. And she didn't know what was dragging her towards the crashing shore.
Was she dreaming?
She was in a haze. The voice of the ocean was calling out to her. Hypnotizing her. Pulling her further in to it's abyss.
Her feets dragged her through the sand. Her body started feeling heavy. Her constricted chest started to ache.
The ocean then changed it's course as it crashed on to her, filling her nose and her lungs eventually, with water. She was bubbling for life.
Her hair floated, skin paled as she sunk deeper.
Deeper and deeper in to the unknown.
There was no life around but her's which the ocean would soon take out of. Since it had none of it's own.
For the last time, when she burdened the difficulty of opening her eyes, she met with a pair of other.
She wasn't sure which part held the truth.
Whether the ocean pulling her ferociously in to the taboo of darkness.
Or
Meeting the pair of eyes that seemed to hold the entirety of the ocean all in it's self.
