It was easy growing up, no cares about your menstrual cycle, about if someone is stabbing you in the back, or if your boyfriend is actually cheating on you. You only cared about missing you favorite TV show or when your 'friends' suddenly stop talking to you or even why mommy wouldn't let you play outside. It was easy... you know... easy grades, treats for being good, lots of friends. We had it simple.
But growing up now in your freshman year of high school... nothing prepared you for what you were to endure. It was hard, separating with your 'best friend' of four year and starting your most terrifying adventure yet...It was difficult. Teachers were much harsher than the next, deadlines were strict, good grades? A must, credits? definitely. You were to meet all the requirements in order to graduate. And then as if it weren't already difficult we had those who judge us... it usually went like this..."you're ugly" or "eww do you see her shoes", "she's not even pretty". And what hurts you the most is your so called 'friends', they don't back you up... they laugh... and that hurts... a lot.
Now you're about to start junior year and takes everything in you to beg for a new wardrobe. It's not even New Years yet... but you already made up your mind to try the "new year? new me" saying, and wonder if everything would be different.
