I remember all of the things that I thought I wanted to be
So desperate to find a way out of my world and finally breathe
Right before my eyes I saw, my heart it came to life
This ain't easy, it's not meant to be
Every story has its scars

When the pain cuts you deep
When the night keeps you from sleeping
Just look and you will see
That I will be your remedy
When the world seems so cruel
And your heart makes you feel like a fool
I promise you will see
That I will be, I will be your remedy

No river is too wide or too deep for me to swim to you
Come whatever, I'll be the shelter that won't let the rain come through
Your love, it is my truth
And I will always love you
Love you

When the pain cuts you deep
When the night keeps you from sleeping
Just look and you will see
That I will be your remedy
When the world seems so cruel
And your heart makes you feel like a fool
I promise you will see
That I will be, I will be your remedy

When the pain cuts you deep
When the night keeps you from sleeping
Just look and you will see
I will be, I will be
When the world seems so cruel
And your heart makes you feel like a fool
I promise you will see
That I will be, I will be, I will be...
Your Remedy

CHAPTER 1....

She didn't have a perfect life like people often thought she did... In fact she had the worst if she really thought about it (among her friends that is, well that's what she thought). No one really knew her. She lived a lie; fake smile, fake laugh, fake personality....everything was fake excluding her body of course. They made her into the person she was today..."FAMILY"... the ones who were suppose care and love was the very ones who despised her, envy her. They hid it well though; around strangers, it was usually "love" and "care" they very thing she never felt. The words "I love you" constantly slips past her lips not knowing how it felt or what they meant.

She concluded that she had no emotions, no feelings... but yet she still cried...a lot. They would hurt in many ways that she couldn't possibly tell anyone... she was broken and no one could have fixed her.

She'd sit in a corner or in her room alone and wondered why was she alive? or what did she possibly do to them that they hated her so much? They only bothered her when they needed her to do something. Then she wouldn't hear from them for a while. Many lonely nights she'd cry herself to sleep and thought of how happy she would be if she took her life. No more crying, hurt or pain.

Alanis was the most happiest girl you would've ever met. She always smiled, greeted you, sang, danced...her favorite color was blue...for the sky, it looked so peaceful. She hated storms or cloudy days, always wanted to see the sun out. After the age of fifteen, her smiles, happiness, joy etc, they all slowly faded. She started having a strong interest in the color black...mostly all her clothes were black, she had a draw full of them. She started enjoying the rainy days because it reminded her of herself, and the storms? She felt those were the best of them all. She also was very depressed. Finding it hard to sleep, she stayed up until five in the morning before she would force herself to sleep.

Then there was school...
