Blake's POV

"Years of love,
Many years of friendship.
One kiss was all it took.

I look into your eyes,
and I fall deep in love;
everytime.

Your love,
Your passion,
Your tenderness.

In your heart,
in your eyes
and in your arms;
I feel so safe"

I swung my legs to where they had touched the ground. I took a deep breath looking around the darkness that consumed my eyes.

"That was amazing Blake, I seriously don't know how you come up with these heart-touching poems," Daisy breathed. I shrugged sliding my feet back and forth on the smooth hard wood floor. "Are you okay? Do you need a cup of tea?" I shook my head smiling sadly.

"No no, its just the assignment was to think of a poem from a deep experience. That was the time I kissed my best friend and fell deeply in love." I took a deep breath. "But he was drunk, I was a fool to think he would feel the same but he didn't remember anything that night."

"Oh, at first that was so sweet but that turned so dark so fast," Daisy swallowed. I heard the floor boards creak as she stood. "Well Im going to go print this out and place it into your Poetry Workshop folder." I sighed gripping the couch cushion.

Daisy got the shit pick for her college degree. I know if she didn't have to help an actual blind person like me she wouldn't. I know everyday I bring a pit of darkness at some point, but I really do try to be happy. I picked my head up pushing myself off the couch. I walked to my room finding my phone. Its times like these I am thankful for Daisy though. I've had so many care takers just dispose of me.

"Hey Blake we are gonna go out for dinner tonight okay?" Daisy called from her room. I smiled a bit. She stuck by my side through everything, even my darkest times. I pressed one of the buttons on my phone.

I slid the phone into my pocket and made my way to Daisy's room. "Oh Blake jeez you startled me!" Daisy laughed. I scratched my head. "Alright I was thinking a little shopping before dinner to pull our spirits, more yours, up!" I just laughed.

"Daisy your enthusiasm never surprises me," I said as she dragged me to her car. I felt the summer sun hit my skin bringing a smile to my face. "Do you think we could go to the beach one day?" I asked getting into the beetle Daisy called bumblebee.

"Blake you know your mother would kill me if I did," Daisy sighed starting the ignition. "Trust me I want to so so bad but I don't want to be taken out of your life just yet," Daisy giggled. I sighed in defeat. I knew college meant some freedom, yet my mother will always rule over me.

"So who was that best friend in the poem?" Daisy pried, I was waiting for that question.

"His name's Louis," I breathed out messing with my finger nails. "He was my best friend for years and years." I smiled looking up. "But he hasn't tried contacting me in years so I guess I wasn't that important to him."

"That's bull," Daisy bluntly said shocking me. "I bet you he feels the exact same. Have you tried contacting him?" I tilted my head down. "Blake! Oh my gosh, okay so we totally need to get a hold of him!" I knew Daisy was exploding with excitement but I just couldn't bare Louis to see me like this.

"No. Daisy you don't get it, Louis knew the old lovable, funny, and outgoing me. He doesn't know Im blind and doesn't know any of the horrible things I've tried or done." I said as the car came to a stop. "I just want him to remember me for the old me."

"Well miss pouty pants fine." Daisy said opening her car door. "Have it your way." I sighed opening my door. "We need to get you some more cute clothes," Daisy said looping her arm with mine. "Did you want your shades?" I nodded feeling Daisy place them in my hand.

~~~~~~
"Damn," Daisy sighed. I turned my head in her direction. "My phone died, can I borrow yours real quick?" Daisy pleaded. I pulled the electronic device from my pocket handing it to her.
"Are we done yet?" I asked feeling fabric between my fingers. Daisy grunted in defeat.
"Yeah, your lucky I picked out some amazing clothes to go with your already naturally gorgeous hair." Dais said dragging me along. I just let out a small laugh.
"Can we just go home, Im feelin Ramen noodles tonight," I asked hoping to win the battle. Daisy was silent. "I'll take that as a yes?" I questioned.
"Oh yeah sure," Daisy said complete distracted. She hates Ramen so I know she is up to something. "Here is your phone," Daisy said placing it into my palm. I pushed the same button I always did.
