Third POV:

"I love you to death.."

"Really?.. So you would die for me?"

"Yes. Yes I would."

"Jeon Wonwoo!" Wonwoo sat up from his seat and his eyes perked up as he saw his long-time boyfriend running towards him.

He was late.

Of course he was late. He was always late. That's how Kim Mingyu worked. Be like 10 minutes late to things, but don't forget to bring a gift as a way to apologize.

Wonwoo was used to it now.

Mingyu stopped in front of now the standing up Wonwoo, huffing and puffing trying to catch his breathe since he didn't want to be too late to Wonwoo and his' 3rd anniversary date.

Wonwoo gave Mingyu his usually "fuzzy bear smile" — as Mingyu likes to call it — once he saw the bouquet of roses and tulips in Mingyu's hands.

Wonwoo leaned in to give him a thank you/greeting kiss but Mingyu backed away holding his hands in front of him.

"Babe don't, I'm all sweaty.." Mingyu stated. Wonwoo gave him his usually quivering lip. Mingyu could not say no to that. So of course he gave in and gave Wonwoo a quick peck on the lips before taking the older's hand and leading them to their date.

Wonwoo and Mingyu loved taking walks to places, so that's what they did. Instead of taking the car, they decided to walk the 20 minutes to their destination, which was a secret.

Wonwoo and Mingyu stopped at the crosswalk waiting for now the red light, to turn the shade of green so they could get to their destination, which was right across the street.

After waiting a few seconds the red light turned to green and the two happily crossed the street.

The series of events that happened afterward were all a blur.

Mingyu felt himself being pushed to the ground, and as he looked up he saw an all too familiar body being flown across the road. Mingyu's eyes widen in horror.

It was Wonwoo.

The next few hours were the worst hours of Mingyu's life. Someone thankfully called 119 and the ambulance showed up in less than 5 minutes. The driver of the car had died before the accident due too heart attack.

Wonwoo was being rushed to the hospital and Mingyu was right behind them. As soon as he arrived to the hospital he was forced to sit in the waiting room.

The worst part was the wait. Within the long wait, Wonwoo's mother showed up. And me tell you. She was not too happy to see Kim Mingyu in the waiting room. She didn't accept the two's relationship. She always used the terms "a relationship out of pity".

And that is the reason as to why Wonwoo did not like his family.

After the long wait the doctors finally came out to give an update on Wonwoo's condition.

The next few words that were said between the doctor and Wonwoo's aunt was something Mingyu never wanted to hear.

"We tried everything we could Miss. Jeon but the injuries were to fatal to save. I'm sorry, but he didn-"

Mingyu ran out the hospital.

The love of his life was gone. He could do nothing to bring him back.

Mingyu knew deep down that Wonwoo wanted to die. He had a rough life at home with his family.

His very supportive parents died also because of a car accident when he was 11 years old. That was 9 years ago.

Every since then has been a living hell for Wonwoo. He was forced to go live with his not so nice and supportive Aunt, and her not so nice boyfriend. He got beat everyday by his Uncle, and his Aunt starved him. And if they weren't beating him, he was invisible to them. They ignored his every need. Including health.

Wonwoo's slowly got better when he was introduced to Kim Mingyu a family friend. The two met at a gathering held at Jeon household. Of course Wonwoo wasn't invited, so he was left in his room.
And by accident Mingyu found his room, trying to find the bathroom. No one knew of Wonwoo's existence, so when Mingyu found a boy his age locked in a room upstairs, he started getting suspicious.

The two quickly became friends. Mingyu sometimes snuck into the Jeon household just to talk to his new friend.

The two had been through a lot together. Once Wonwoo reached 18 he got a job and moved out of the household, losing all contact with his Aunt and Uncle. Wonwoo and Mingyu moved into an apartment together.
