Jungkook is always so quiet during rainy days.

On a rainy day, he decides to take a new route to home.
Jungkook's only focus was on raindrops as they hit the ground, not noticing when he was reaching towards the end of the block and bumps into a man coming right around the corner. Jungkook mumbles a sorry under his breath not looking up and almost misses the deep voiced apology coming from the other man. Jungkook notices that the other man seems to be in a hurry and rushes off in the speed of light before jungkook's mind could process everything that just happened. When he looks up his heart stops and sees a familiar figure walking a short distance from him, the man isn't facing Jungkook but he knows that tall, tanned skin male all to well.

Trying to rid of all of those nostalgic memories that this man is the cause of; holding hands, cute text messages, late night homework and studying sessions which leads to cuddling and sleep, having sweet dreams. After school they'd share one umbrella and the two would hurry to jungkook's house after school. Since jungkook's parents worked late hours they have the house to themselves.

Rainy days were always the best days because of this, but now they're the most painful.

Shaking his head to clear of the memories, jungkook drops his umbrella and runs towards Taehyung, yelling out his name to get his attention Taehyung turns around and jungkook's breath hitched when they made eye contact. Even after all these years Taehyung managed to look the same as before. Jungkook can only stare at him, tears brimming his eyes as he waits for Taehyung to say something, anything, but Taehyung only looks at him in confusion, and jungkook's heart drops. "how do you know my name" comes from his mouth. His words are deeper than knifes going through his heart. "who are you" Taehyung asks and jungkook's heart is shattered into million of pieces.

Jungkook is trying his hardest not to break down right there and manages to put a embarrassed smile on his face. "sorry I was looking for a different Taehyung " he quickly manages to say, Before rushing past him.

While waiting for the light to give a green light to signal, he sees Taehyung come to stop next to him. Jungkook tries his hardest not to look at him, mainly because he feels Taehyung eyes on him curiously. The light finally turns green, walking slowly so he let's Taehyung past him so he can know which path Taehyung is going so he can avoid him in all costs. Taehyung ends up going straight. Jungkook decides to go right. As he reaches the other side of the street, Jungkook looks up and sees Taehyung peering at him curiously again. This time Jungkook isn't able to put a smile on his face, he doesn't have the strength to even look at the man he once cherished and loved for years. So he turns right without hesitation and walks forward, not looking back even once.

Jungkook hopelessly wishes that Taehyung will remember him and he'll come racing towards jungkook and pulling him into bone crushing embrace, whispering I love you's and I missed you so much. But he knows that's too good to be true so he continues walking, the raindrops being the same color to match the tears streaming down his face.
