Dan's P.O.V.

Samantha and i quickly dove into the fight and began protecting our pack. Already there were bodies piling up, whether they were from our pack or the rogues, i did not know.

"Dan," Finn screamed, "Get to Sam, stay with her!"

I ran over to Samantha and attacked a rogue who was sneaking up behind her.

"nice looking out babe," Samantha said to me.

"thanks," i said as I jumped onto a rogue.

I looked around and saw a whole pack of people i barely knew fighting for my protection and couldn't help but feel as if i belonged.

Suddenly a loud shrill howl broke through the fighting and the rogues all fell back.

My pack howled triumphantly and we all gathered around to tally up the casualties.

"Dan baby," Samantha whimpered, "Finn got hurt. bad."

I walked over to the quivering lump on the ground that i assumed was Finn.

"How's Sam?" he asked.

"shes fine," i responded,"lets focus on you."

"Are you kidding me," he groaned,"im fine, just a scratch."

"Alright tough guy,"i whispered.

"Dan," Finn said, "who am i kidding, we both know I'm not going to make it."

"Dont say that," i growled through my tears.

"Dan," Finn whispered, "Take care of them, and tell Jack I'm sorry, and that i love him."

"Dont talk like that,"i growled,"you're gonna be fine."

"It's okay Dan," he responded,"i died fighting for my pack, I'm happy, take care of Sam."

And with that he took his last breathe.
