Marks POV
I had woken up before Jack. I usually did since his sleep schedule was all out of whack. I went into the bathroom and got in the shower. When I got out, I noticed Jack was no longer in bed asleep.
I went downstairs and saw Jack playing with Chica. I laughed. "Hey," "Oh hey, Mark," I checked the time. It was 10:30 in the morning. "You wanna get some coffee?" I asked. "Yeah," Jack and I walked to my car and got in.
The drive there was mostly quiet. The only thing we talked about was how Jack needed to get a driver's license. It was ridiculous, but kind of cute.
I pulled into the parking lot of the coffee shop. It was a small, cozy, dark cafe. When we walked in, we were the only people there because Starbucks was right next to this place, besides a lady at the bar drinking coffee with ear buds in and a laptop. "Mark, I'm paying. You go find us a seat,"
Jack's POV
I knew what Mark usually got. "Uh, can I get a medium coffee, black, and a medium iced dark roast," I thought it was funny that Mark always got a girly drink. The worker there gave me the drinks and I said, "Thank you, can I see that pen for a second?" She gave it to me and I wrote something on Mark's coffee cup and gave her back the pen.
As I turned around to see where Mark was sitting. He chose a booth by the window. "Here you go," I said as I gave him his drink and sat down. Mark started to drink his coffee. "Mark, don't swallow a pet named Steve!" Mark almost spit out his drink. He gave me a 'what are you talking about' face, his mouth still full of coffee. "Look at your drink," There, he noticed what I had written on his cup. I had written, 'a pet named Steve'. Mark swallowed his coffee and started cracking up. Authors note: The 'a pet named Steve' thing won't make any sense unless you know the reference. Mark was laughing so hard, he fell out of the booth. Then I started laughing.
I could tell the cashier was looking at us funny. Then she started giggling. "You guys are so cute together," "Thanks, you're so sweet," I said.
I finally decided I should probably help Mark up off the floor, an we went home after we finished our coffee.
