Jack's POV

I woke up hooked up to a bunch of machines. I must be in the hospital. My head was throbbing. I looked around my room, hoping to see Mark in a hospital bed as well. I only saw the nurse. "Where's Mark? I need to see him. I need to know if he's okay," I tried to get up, but the nurse laid me back down. "He's still in surgery," "Surgery?!" She nodded. She kept looking the computer that was showing my data. "Everything on here seems to be fine. Do you feel any pain?" I told her about my throbbing head. She nodded and left the room. She came back with two pills and a cup of water. "Here, take these. Other than that, if you feel better tonight, you're free to go home," She smiled. I took the pills and laid my head on my pillow as the nurse started unhooking me from machines that weren't necessary for me anymore.

. . .

I woke up from a long nap and looked to my right. There was Mark, in his hospital bed, sleeping. He looked so cute when he slept, but all I could think about was if he was okay.

I didn't have anything attached to me, except an IV, but it wasn't connected to anything, so I got up out of the bed and walked over to Mark. I nudged him a little. "Mark," He opened his eyes and smiled. "The doctors said I'm gonna be okay," I smiled and went in and kissed him.

"I hope were not intruding on anything," Two police officers came into the room and I jumped back over to my bed. "So, we found Trent. He's spending the rest of his life in prison so you guys should have nothing to worry about," I took a sigh of relief. I weight was lifted off of my shoulders. I was finally away from him, for good this time.
