Kailoni's Point of View
By the time lunch arrived, the tension within the group of us was so thick you could cut it with a knife. Lexi and Rose were mean-mugging me so hard. If looks could kill, I would damn sure be more than 6 feet under. Jackson sat to my left suspiciously looking to and from each one of us. Meanwhile Trey, Aaron, and Aaden talked about video games and ate their food.
Jackson was the first one to break the silence by asking,"So is anyone going to tell me what's going on?" "Did I miss something?".
"Nothing much, just two of your guard dogs interrogating me in the hall after first block." I say.
"You deserve it, hoe!" Lexi interrupts and says.
"Down girl, no need to get all riled up." I say to her in the tone you would talk to an angry dog with. "I don't exactly deserve anything, I haven't done anything to you both."
"Well, I think I speak for me and Lexi when I say we are just watching out for one of our best friends especially since we don't know what your intentions are", Rose tries to explain.
"There is nothing to watch for, I'm not trying to pull anything over on him. Like I said in the hall maybe I need to watch out for him instead" I say.
Jackson jumps into the conversation and says to them, "Did you ever think to ask me how I feel or why she is with me? You make it seem as though I can't make good decisions for my self. Maybe I want her to try something. Not saying I do, but it's my decision if so."
They begin to look guilty as they realize what he's saying is true. In my head I was thinking, baby all you have to do is let me know if you want me to try something. Although, I didn't say that.
Now,Trey felt the need to say, "Y'all girls can't ever get along with other people. We leave y'all for one second and this is what happens." He shakes his head.
"Shut up Trey" Lexi says annoyed with him. He puts his hands up in surrender and shuts his mouth.
"Jack, we just wanted to make sure you don't get hurt. Sorry." Says Rose.
"It's fine but next time before you girls try to gang up on her come and talk to me first so you don't make assumptions."
This is getting a little too mushy for me. I'm not used to seeing friends or people in general be so affectionate towards each other. I've never had friends look out for me so this was definitely uncomfortable. I get up and go to get something to eat since half the lunch period has passed.
When I get to the line, a guy approaches me. I recognize his face but I can't remember his name. I just go with the first name that pops into my head. "What's up Reggie?"
He stares for a few seconds then says, "It's actually Randy." Well, I guess that's my fault I should know his name after sleeping with him but I don't exactly care. I just stare at him waiting for him to tell me what he wants. Apparently he doesn't get the memo though, because he just stares back at me.
I clear my throat and bat my eyes at him as if I'm saying, "hurry up and tell me what the hell you want".
"Oh, anyway I was just wondering if you would like to chill with me again or we could go out somewhere today." I resist the urge to laugh out loud at his ignorance. If he knew better he wouldn't ask me that because everyone, who has had a chance with me, knows I don't do second anythings. For example, I don't do second dates, I am never in second place for competitions, and not even second rounds when it comes to sex.
