Sophia
We don't have much time here in Chennai. All we do is have a South Indian style lunch and go to a beach and eat weird but tasty fried fish and then it's finally time for the cruise. Cruise or ship or whatever you call it. Painted on the black ship with white calligraphy is, "Hermosa".
All I know is that it's amazing. The sun is setting in the sea, and the ship appears to be glistening with the light. It's large and luxurious. I and my family approach it from the jetty. Colourful fish is visible in the water under it. The sea breeze almost blows my hat away.
The rooms we have got are the best part. Not exactly the best part because I crave for adventure more than luxury. I and Zoya have a room together. Mom and Dad have another.
We stand on the deck, waiting to begin the journey. The loud horn of the cruise startles me, but makes me smile too. Here it begins. Passengers on the upper deck are shouting, screaming and hooting.
Many people are waving and it looks like the beginning of the movie, Titanic. These people are crazy.
I stand holding the railing, watching the sea part into waves as the cruise begins to move. My protective father holds me from behind, to ensure my safety. Oh come on, at least he allows me to stand by the railing, even though he's keeping a check.
"It is beautiful, isn't it?" Mom asks me.
"It is," I smile to her. We go back in our rooms after the sunset, and I instantly fall asleep after supper. Finally. Sleep. Sleep is all I want.

Sameer
"Here it goes!" Jacob shouts with his hands raised up in the air.
"Wooooooooooo!!!!" All of us boys and other passengers shout as the last horn blows and the cruise, Hermosa, starts moving. We stay on the deck till the sunset and then leave for our rooms.
I am staying with Aryan, and I'm sure he will keep me up all night playing video games. Not that I have any problem.
"Ahhh.... this is comfy...." he lies on the soft bed and stretches his arms and legs. I go and keep our bags in the cupboard, when I notice Aryan's guitar. I bring it out with me and sit on the bed.
"You took it out again!" He fakes anger.
"Come on, you didn't let me play the last time. Let's do a song."
"I'll play," he says and snatches the guitar from me. "And we both will sing."
I sigh and give up. He starts playing the guitar and I start singing.
"Wait wait wait! Let's make a video." I suggest. He nods and puts a camera in front. And here we go with another cover video.
"Hey everyone, we're Sameer Hasan," "and Aryan Verma"
"from The Highs. Where are we? We are here in this luxury cruise, floating somewhere in the Indian Ocean.
This is our new cover for the song, Immortals, by Fall Out Boy."Aryan begins with the guitar and I, with the song.
"They say we are what we are, but we don't have to be..."
"Man!" Both of our heads turn in the direction of the door as we are stopped abruptly. Sid has burst open the door and is staring at us.
"Arghh!" Aryan and I growl in unison.
"Seriously, couldn't you wait for another five minutes?" I say and put off the camera.
"Sorry buddy. I came to tell you it's dinner time. And yeah, make the other video with all of us." He says and leaves the room without another word.
We both sigh and follow him outside.
Jake joins us and the four of us head to the food court. The place is beautifully lighted. There is a counter for self service, and there are waiters also. Tables for two, four, six and more are all over the area. One part is the closed food court, and the other stretches open on the deck. What pleases me the most is a small stage where musicians are playing instruments.
We take our seats by a table on the deck, after we bring ourselves some food.
"I think we should make a video out here. The view is way better and beautiful," Sid suggests.
"Yeah. When the people are not crowding. We'll do it tomorrow." Jake says, sipping on his juice.
"How about we borrow a few instruments from there?" I ask.
The boys agree upon the idea and we leave for our rooms.
Aryan is at being up all night, just as I expected, but I'm not accompanying him because I am tired as hell. And because I want to see the sun rise from the sea tomorrow. And because I want to use my new camera.
I am already enjoying the trip, and I am not going to miss any beautiful part of it. I am going to take in every beauty of this two and a half day sail.
"Yaayyyyrrhh!!!"
"Okay, come on, you can play but please don't open your mouth!"
